Homeland – “From A to B and Back Again” Review. Trust No One but Yourself.

Oh. My. God. Or, as Quinn (Rupert Friend) puts it, “Holy fuck!” What a game changer this week’s installment of Homeland is! I cannot believe what I just watched. Episodic writer Chip Johannessen doesn’t pull any punches with “From A to B and Back Again.”

The Vampire Diaries – “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” Review. Corn-Mazing!

I have high hopes the season will get its mojo working, getting TVD back to the show I know it can be.

The Originals –“Live and Let Die” Top Three Moments. All’s Well That Ends Well.

With Elijah stepping up to play mentor to baby vamp Gia, Marcel rebuilding his vampire family, and Klaus trying to murder anyone who pisses him off, this season of The Originals continues to get better with every episode.

The Walking Dead – “Four Walls and a Roof” Review. The Katana Has Returned.

Guess there’s nothing left to say but damn. I’m still in awe of what happens in “Four Walls and a Roof.” It has probably pushed the season five premiere out of the top spot for me.

Homeland – “About a Boy” Review. There’s More Than One Way to Skin a Cat.

“About a Boy” really is about a boy; almost the entire hour is spent with Carrie (Claire Dane) doing her best to get Aayan (Suraj Sharma) to admit his uncle, Haissam Haqqani (Numan Acar), the terrorist leader who was killed by a CIA air strike in Homeland’s season premiere, is actually alive and well. It was a real shocker to see him hugging Aayan last week in “Iron in the Fire.”

Photos and What’s Next on Jane the Virgin

Last week, I discovered The CW’s new comedy series, Jane the Virgin. I couldn’t believe how much I laughed throughout the show. The series is based on the telenovela Juana la Virgen, and revolves around 23-year-old Jane (Gina Rodriguez) who becomes pregnant after mistakenly being artificially inseminated by her distracted gynecologist. Unfortunately, Jane has a boyfriend, Michael (Brett Dier), …

The Walking Dead – “Strangers” Review. Getting to Know You.

Too much happens in “Strangers” for me to come up with an adequate analysis of it all. I’ll say this much, the writers are keeping me intrigued. I don’t want to miss a single minute of any episode.

Homeland – “Iron in the Fire” Review. The Reason Behind Bachman’s Death.

Wow, what a game changer “Iron in the Fire” is! And, in more ways than one with two giant reveals in this fourth episode of the season!

The Vampire Diaries – “Welcome to Paradise” Review. There’s Always Room for Jell-O (Shots)!

Although “Welcome to Paradise” answers a few questions, it doesn’t satisfy my appetite for the TVD of old.

The Originals –“Alive and Kicking” Review. Sibling Rivalry.

I enjoyed “Alive and Kicking.” Hayley is coming into her own, Klaus is going on the rampage, and new allies are being formed in the vamp community.

The Walking Dead – “No Sanctuary” Review. Where Everyone’s MacGyver.

“No Sanctuary” takes it to the extreme. As season premieres go, I’m blown away.

Homeland – “Shalwar Kameez” Review. Carrie 2.0.

“Shalwar Kameez” does a good job of moving this season’s story lines ahead, and cementing Homeland as appointment TV once again.

The Vampire Diaries – “Yellow Ledbetter” Review. Crossword Puzzles Suck.

I can’t say “Yellow Ledbetter” redeems last season’s catastrophes but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

The Originals –“Rebirth” Review. A New Day In The Quarter.

With quite a few new faces joining The Originals this season, things are certainly looking up.

The Vampire Diaries – “I’ll Remember” Review. At Least Alaric is Back.

“I’ll Remember” isn’t the best season premiere but it isn’t the worst either. I’m getting used to having Alaric back, even if he bores the hell out of me.

Homeland – “The Drone Queen” & “Trylon and Perisphere” Season Premiere Review. Carrie is Back, Better than Ever.

Homeland is back and it’s better than ever. Sharp writing, great cinematography, superior acting by all, and terrific direction by Lesli Linka Glatter in episode one and Keith Gordon in episode two. So far, I’d say Homeland is, once again, an exciting, tension-filled series worth watching.

Outlander –“Both Sides Now” Review. How to Choose.

Outlander hits quite a few highs in this emotionally charged episode but not enough that I can rave about how great it is.

How to Get Away with Murder Series Premiere – “Pilot” Review. Dead Bodies.

I have no doubt How to Get Away with Murder is going to become another hit series for ABC, and it’s the tangled interpersonal relationships that will make it so. That and, of course, Viola Davis.

The Lottery –“Mr. Torino” Review. The Man Behind the Car.

I’m not overly impressed with the way things are going. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of Darius’s plans. He isn’t afraid to take matters into his own hands, and I’m curious to see who the trigger man will be if the president ends up shot next week.

Outlander –“The Wedding” Review. The Key That Unlocks Jamie’s Heart.

Outlander brings it on home with flesh, bums, and enough grunting to rival a woman squeezing into jeans two sizes too small. How does “The Wedding” fare with thee?

The Lottery –“Truth Be Told” Top Three Moments. It Shall Set You Free.

I find myself losing my fervor for The Lottery. We are thrown a few bones here and there, but it’s not enough to keep my attention.

Forever – “Pilot” Advance Review. Sherlock Holmes Meets Indiana Jones with Bond Style.

Why does everything sound better with a deep, lush British accent? Admittedly, I was drawn to the premise of Forever because I’ve got a twisted fascination with immortality, the supernatural, and a good mystery. But after learning Ioan Gruffudd (pronounced: Yo-An Griffith) would play the lead character, Dr. Henry Morgan, I was in! Forever is a fun, new kind of drama with flare. It’s Sherlock Holmes meets Indiana Jones with a pinch of James Bond mixed in. There is mystery, intrigue, murders, antiques, and of course, a bit of danger.

Celebrity Name Game – “Pilot” Spoiler-Free Advance Review and New Promo. A Fun New Game Show.

Celebrity Name Game (CNG) is a fun new syndicated game show hosted by Scottish-born Emmy®-nominated comedian Craig Ferguson and executive produced by Courtney Cox and David Arquette. Ferguson is also a writer, actor, director, author, producer, and voice artist. With these three funny people, it’s a sure bet this new show is going to be a hit, to say nothing of how hilarious it is.

The Strain – “Loved Ones” Retrospective. The Chosen One.

The saying, ‘we hurt the ones we love the most,’ rings loud and clear in “Loved Ones.” Why do the newborn strigoi go after their family first? Is it our innate need to be close to those who love us when we aren’t feeling our best? While this hasn’t been fully explained, I think we all seek out the familiar when we are sick, hurt, or scared. Unfortunately, the people we care for the most are the ones that also suffer the most.

Outlander –“The Garrison Commander” Review. You Can Hear a Pin Drop.

Probably one of the more disturbing episodes but “The Garrison Commander” pushes Outlander into another league. This is television worth watching. Well, when you aren’t eating a burger.
