Rat vs. Criminal. Review: Graceland – “Pawn”

Thinking Mike (Aaron Tveit) has found the recording that implicates him in Juan’s (Pedro Pascal) murder, Briggs (Daniel Sunjuta) goes on the run, and the rest of the house is called in for questioning.

TV Promo: It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – “Gun Fever Too: Still Hot”

After Frank appears on Local Television advocating gun ownership, the rest of the gang takes a look at the ownership process and alternatives to find a common ground on this still heated issue.

It’s Littastic. Review: Suits – “Bad Faith”

With the Pearson Darby Specter merger being dissolved, both sides are racing to lock in assets and clients with the hope that their side comes out stronger than the other.

Conference Call: HAVEN’s Lucas Bryant Talks About Season 4 and More!

Conference Call with HAVEN’s Lucas Bryant. I absolutely adore Bryant’s wry humor and sarcasm during this conference call. The way he talks about Eric Balfour’s “great, strong arms” embracing him in a hug in the season premiere episode “Fallout” had me riveted. (Insert giggle). And of course, Bryant would like to take all the credit for the show’s success…he was totally kidding. And I had to ask about the perpetual “gas leaks” that seem to plague Haven, Maine. Bryant says that will be addressed this season.

Surprises and Alliances. Review: Graceland – “Happy Endings”

Whoever said “Dead men tell no tales” obviously hasn’t seen “Happy Endings” where the race to find Juan’s (Pedro Pascal) car is on. In it is believed to be a recording that will shed light on his disappearance. Will Briggs (Daniel Sunjuta) be able to find it before Mike (Aaron Tveit) does, and no matter who locates it, what will they discover?

If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It. Retrospective: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – “The Gang Broke Dee”

Season 9, Episode 1 Airdate: Wednesday, September 4, 2013, 10 pm ET/PT on FXX Rating: [rating=5] One of the things It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Sunny)  does best is mock everything in sight – from themselves to neighborhood bars that try to compete with Paddy’s, political situations, current affairs, etc. “The Gang Broke Dee” does …

What’s Done is Done. Review: Suits – “Endgame”

Unlike other seasons, Suits has tied this entire season to one single case. This might work if you have a client the audience likes but that isn’t the reaction with Ava Hessington (Michelle Fairley). By “Endgame,” the case has more than overstayed its welcome and I found myself not caring what happened. I simply wanted her gone and for the show to move on. Although, it is refreshing to see Suits finally remembered lawyers don’t just work at a law firm, they actually do go to court.

Code Red. Review: Suits – “She’s Mine”

If you assume that “She’s Mine” revolves around a bitter battle between Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Stephen (Max Beesley) over Donna (Sarah Rafferty), you are wrong. Instead, “She’s Mine” involves the struggle between Nigel (Adam Godley) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) over Nigel’s cat, Mikado who Louis has been cat sitting while Nigel was on vacation.

Strippers in a Bouncy House. Review: Graceland – “King’s Castle”

With Bello (Gbenga Akinnagbe) in jail and Juan (Pedro Pascal), the obsessed FBI agent behind Mike’s (Aaron Tveit) investigation into Briggs (Daniel Sunjuta), dead, you might think “King’s Castle” would give the Graceland agents a moment to relax and recover. You would be wrong.

I Need a Day. Retrospective: Suits – “The Other Time”

“The Other Time” is mainly a reference to the episode “Asterisk” when Donna (Sarah Rafferty) told Harvey (Gabriel Macht), “You’ve been over to my place exactly twice: the God awful dinner party and the other time.” But that isn’t the only flashback scene; there are many that mirror events both past and current.

Another One Bites the Dust. Get It? Review: True Blood – “Radioactive”

The recycled set, time jump to months later, and complete disregard for the essence of these characters set me on the road to Never-Againville. You fooled me once, writers, but not again.

Read Me My Rights. Review: Graceland – “Smoke Alarm”

As the game of cat and mouse continues in “Smoke Alarm,” the stakes increase when Jangles, a masked Caza Cartel boogeyman, leaves behind a trail of blood when hunting down Odin (aka Briggs (Daniel Sunjuta)). The question is who is the cat and who is the mouse because Briggs sets up a few traps of his own.

Relationships Matter. Retrospective: Suits – “Shadow of a Doubt”

“Shadow of a Doubt” isn’t your typical episode of Suits; instead, it’s more of a tune up. Just like a car, you need to adjust things now and then to make sure everything runs like it should. “Shadow of a Doubt” gives each character an opportunity to work on their various relationships, and thankfully, they all come out stronger because of it.

Sookie, the Foul-Mouthed Blood Bag. Review: True Blood – “Life Matters”

I’m still not convinced True Blood is returning to its original roots, even with the cringe-inducing “Life Matters.” There are too many occurrences that could have happened sooner.

Game of Cat & Mouse. Retrospective: Graceland – “Bag Man”

We now know Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) is the mysterious drug supplier Oden. And as Oden, Briggs must now get Bello (Gbenga Akinnagbe) the promised drugs without Mike (Aaron Tveit) or the Caza Cartel finding out exactly who Oden is.

TV News: Syfy’s HAVEN Welcomes Emma Lahana and Christian Camargo As Recurring Guest Stars

Emma Lahana (Hellcats, Emily Owens M.D.) and Christian Camargo (Dexter, The Hurt Locker) will join the cast of Syfy’s popular series Haven when the show returns for its fourth season on Friday, September 13 at 10PM (ET/PT). Both actors join Colin Ferguson (Eureka, Coupling) who portrays William, a handsome mysterious stranger whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose), as recurring guest stars this fall.

49 vs.51% is a Huge Difference. Review: Suits – “Conflict of Interest”

Ava Hessington (Michelle Fairley) not only faces murder charges but the loss of her company as well, and figuring out the best course of action has divided Pearson Darby.

Don’t Know Why I Bother. Review: True Blood – “Dead Meat”

True Blood has turned into a complete farce. What I thought might be an interesting episode turned out to be shit.

Got Your Back. Retrospective: Suits – “Unfinished Business”

Despite Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) getting back together, I still have concerns because being together does not always mean being forgiven. I had a list of things I wanted to see play out to get things back on track, and happily, “Unfinished Business” is the perfect title to a terrific episode.

The Tides Are Turning. Review: True Blood – “In the Evening”

As I think back over the episodes this season, I realize I’ve been missing the big picture. There was foreshadowing for what was to come, but I paid it no mind.

One Big Heat Run. Retrospective: Graceland – “Goodbye High”

“Goodbye High” picks up right where “Hair of the Dog” left off with Mike (Aaron Tveit) following Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) to an unknown building only to discover it’s a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Much to Mike’s surprise, Briggs confesses to the group he is a heroin addict.

Carpe Diem. Review: Suits – “I Want You to Want Me”

Having lost his position overseeing the associates, Louis (Rick Hoffman) jumps at the opportunity Jessica (Gina Torres) offers him to pick one associate to mentor. His obvious choice is Mike (Patrick J. Adams) but first he has to get the blessing of Harvey (Gabriel Macht). Since Harvey still wants nothing to do with Mike, he is all too happy to give it.

Uni-ball. Review: Suits – “The Arrangement”

Let me start by saying dream sequences drive me nuts. Usually, they are teasers for something the audience wants to see or are used to shock them. In this case, we get both

Drinking Game Players, Get Ready! Review: True Blood – “F**k the Pain Away”

I guess the title should have clued me in to what to expect, but I’d like to believe there’s more substance to each True Blood (TB) episode. You know, something to make us wonder what the point of this season might be and why I should continue watching.

Sex and Heroin. Retrospective: Graceland – “O-Mouth”

At times, the sexual ambience on Graceland takes away from some of its grittiness. The last few episodes seem more like an episode of Big Brother rather than a cop show and “O-Mouth” is no exception.
