New York, NY – May 3, 2012 – AMC announced today pilot orders for “Low Winter Sun” and the “Untitled LaGravenese & Goldwyn Project” marking the first time the network has greenlit two scripted pilots at the same time. “Low Winter Sun” is a co-production between Endemol Studios and AMC Studios.

The real nitty gritty of “Scream a Little Dream” is when Frank (Jason Blicker), a hotel doorman, asks Bo and Kenzi for help. It seems all the tenants in his hotel have gone mad. But Bo gets more than she bargained for when she gets tangled up with the sinister Dark Fae species known as The Mare. Connie, The Mare (Kristina Pesic), not only gives you nightmares, she feeds off the fear they provoke.

If Cinemax’s Strike Back is any indication of what the network can offer in the way of exciting and mesmerizing entertainment, then its new action series Banshee is sure to be a big hit. Brought by such industry giants as Alan Ball (True Blood, Six Feet Under), Greg Yaitanes (House, Lost), Peter Macdissi (Towelhead, Six Feet Under), Jonathan Tropper (author of the New York Times bestseller “This Is Where I Leave You”), and David Schickler (author of “Kissing in Manhattan” and “Sweet and Vicious”), Banshee has begun production in and around Charlotte, NC. The series’ first season will have ten hour-long episodes and will premiere on Cinemax in 2013.

Tech, or should I say technical, issues are at the heart of “Bombshell” after the production heads to Boston and loses its Joe DiMaggio. From a desk being too large, a leading lady with a bad case of the nerves, a director who can’t keep his hands off said leading lady, and a failed marriage proposal, “Tech” presents an excellent look at what can go wrong with a Broadway production before it actually reaches Broadway. Talk about an awful lot of drama!

Surprisingly, I loved The Lost Gate. Granted, it took me quite a while to get into it because I wasn’t sure where Card was going with the story—but once I became engrossed in the tale, I really enjoyed it.

After pulling off one of the grandest of ruses, Cesare (François Arnaud) gets bad news from his trusted abettor, the cunning and ruthless Micheletto (Sean Harris). Micheletto doesn’t think highly of himself, which is evident when he acknowledges Cesare as his “master” as if he were a “stray dog.” Cesare, however, seems very interested in finding more people like Micheletto – men who are not fearful of getting their hands filthy.

If I could start out my review with LMFAO, I would but instead I’ll tell you that “Family Matters” is one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen in all the seasons of The Big C.

What starts out as a serious episode quickly turns hilarious. They say laughter is the best medicine and if it’s true, those watching “Slow Growing Monsters” will be instantly cured. This is one of the best episodes so far this season. The writers are at the top of their game with the fantastic sharp and witty dialogue.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with “Do Not Go Gentle” because I try not to get my hopes up too high. The episode is OK, but lacks any real oomph.

Rebecca (Uma Thurman) is up to her old antics trying to replace songs with scenes, which highly annoys Tom (Christian Borle). And she befriends Karen (Katharine McPhee)—for what purpose I’m not quite sure. Derek (Jack Davenport) tells Karen he sees her as Marilyn in his hallucinations, admitting she should be the one playing the role. Leo (Emory Cohen) runs away, and Eileen’s (Angelica Huston) boyfriend and almost ex-husband come face to face. Such is the entertaining episode known as “Publicity.”

Bo’s heart is breaking so she’s going to fight harder to reunite the star-crossed lovers. The thing is, to me, this storyline is boring, along with seeking The Ash’s replacement. I couldn’t care less about it, and was more interested in seeing some sort of peace happening between Bo and Dyson.

There couldn’t be a more appropriate title than “Vagina Panic” for the second episode of HBO’s Girls. If I had a sex life similar to Hannah (Lena Dunham), Jessa (Jemima Kirke), Shoshanna (Sosia Manet) and Marnie (Allison Williams), my vagina would also be panicking; it might even be hysterical!

I love this show. There’s profanity (tons of f-bombs!), chaos and the best frigging writing on a comedy show to date. Veep is funny in ways you don’t expect and I’m definitely staying away from any beverages while watching.

“Bundle of Joy” is so much more than meeting another cancer survivor. Despite it being the main title, the joy I get comes from the hysterical antics of Sean (John Hickey) and his newfound calling – a gay sex phone operator.

Pardon me while I pick my jaw up off the floor. Wow! “The Beautiful Deception” is exactly that – a beautiful and glorious ruse! The confidence and steel bravado Cesare (François Arnaud) exudes is magnificent. I literally was on the edge of my seat engrossed by the palpable confrontation between Cesare and King Charles (Michel Muller).

Against medical advice, Jackie (Edie Falco) leaves rehab because her daughter Grace (Ruby Jerins) is wearing eyeliner. What the hell? As with everything else in her life, Jackie chooses not to deal, instead using Grace’s makeup as an excuse to walk away from the only thing that will probably save her life. I don’t understand that. Jackie is a smart woman who says she wants to get better, but doesn’t use the one tool that will help. I guess she’s not really ready.

Even with the few issues I have with “Kids,” I laughed more than I griped. I can’t wait to see what the writers of New Girl have in store for us next. I’m definitely going to have to remember not to drink anything while watching because this show is a choking hazard.
