With all the drama of the first six episodes, it’s about time we have a little fun. “Teresa’s Got a Gun” is a much lighter, funnier episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” especially when the Giudices, Manzos, and Lauritas descend upon the Giudice cabin in the Catskills. But I’m getting ahead of myself…

Waiting sucks. And that’s not the only thing. We’ve already had the opportunity to glimpse the first eight minutes of the premiere episode of True Blood and they aren’t very impressive. They do impress something upon me but I prefer to keep this review profanity free.

Written by Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro, and directed by Kevin Dowling, “Necessary Roughness” is filled with wry sarcasm, a decent amount of humor in contrast to the serious dramatic elements, sharp and witty dialogue, and is beautifully acted by all involved. USA has definitely scored a touchdown with another character-driven series, which so perfectly fits its brand.

We already know the aliens arrived in their ships with seemingly advanced weaponry and artillery so why are they taking teenagers, harnessing them to collect scrap metal? Col. Porter brings some good news along with his chief medical advisor Dr. Michael Harris (guest star Steven Weber) who has a new method for removing the spinal harnesses. Meanwhile, Tom captures a live Skitter as his POW.

Syfy’s Summer Premiere Week kicks off on Monday, July 11 with the Season 4.5 return of Eureka at 8PM (ET/PT), followed by Season 3 of Warehouse 13 – Syfy’s most successful series ever – at 9PM, and the new drama Alphas bowing at 10PM. The third season of Ghost Hunters International premieres Wednesday, July 13 at 9PM, leading into the debut of Legend Quest at 10PM. Haven begins its second season Friday, July 15 at 10PM. Summer Premiere Week concludes with the Syfy Saturday Original Movie Super Eruption on Saturday, July 16 at 9PM.

A Game of Thrones is the first in the series and it is a great introduction into such a wonderful world of kings, lords, and creatures. If you’ve watched the series on HBO, you’ll pretty much have an idea of what the book contains. Of course, the text is more detailed and those details are superb.

It should be illegal to have this much fun in one television series. These boys really know how to mix work with play. Plus, I can’t express enough how sharp and witty the dialogue is in this show.

What do you get when you combine Elijah Wood, Jason Gann, FX Network, and a TV-MA rating? A fantastically refreshing (and realistic) dark comedy sure to tickle your smart-ass funny bone to death! While everyone sees Wilfred as a lovable pet, Ryan sees a perverted, pot-smoking, nicotine infused, vulgar man with an Aussie accent in a dog suit.

“Suits” grabbed me from the opening scene and kept me interested and amused throughout the entire hour. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The writing is sharp and witty and the characters perfectly acted. While the show has a serious undertone to it, it’s lighthearted enough to make this a very pleasant and enjoyable show, fitting perfectly into USA’s network of characters.

Fans of the comedy genre, rejoice! There’s a new series coming from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (creators of the Golden Globe-winning BBC comedy series “The Office,” and HBO series “Extras” and “The Ricky Gervais Show”). Production has begun in London on a new comedy series for HBO, “Life’s Too Short.” The seven-episode series will debut on BBC Two later this year and on HBO in 2012.

With “The Good Parts” being the unknown series finale, it is a bittersweet moment for me. Over the last three seasons, we’ve watched Kate (Brie Larson) and Marshall (Keir Gilchrist) grow and mature, and Max (John Corbett) continuously standing by his wife while seemingly hanging by a thread. Obviously Max and Tara returning home instead of going to the mental facility is a bit of a shock, but they squelch any notion that Tara isn’t going to get help when they announce they are headed to Boston and that Bryce is…dead.

As season finales go, “Deaf Blind Tumor Pee-Test” is rather lackluster — except for Kevin’s reveal. Season three was pretty good overall, so I’m disappointed with this finale. I think the writers missed their mark with this episode. If you ask me, they took the easy way out. Thankfully, they have another season in which to redeem themselves.

Green Lantern is an exhilarating, intense, exuberant theatrical experience I won’t soon forget! The 3D imagery is fantastic! Reynolds captures the character of Hal Jordan, an arrogant and egotistical test pilot, with such charisma, engaging the audience with his version of the famed superhero. Reynolds’ off-beat humor is sprinkled lightly throughout the film but never overpowering it.

I will tell you this show is worth watching. It’s compelling, thought-provoking, gripping, action-packed, and just good drama from the people who know drama. The writing is superb. Award winning executive producer Steven Spielberg, show creator/executive producer/writer Robert Rodat, and executive producer/writer Graham Yost (also creator/executive producer of FX’s hit drama “Justified”) give us a powerful new series I think will become the next TV addiction.

“Franklin & Bash” isn’t really about the cases. None of them are serious; instead, they deal with wacky, off-the-wall, fun topics. More, it’s all about best buds: the kind who live together, hunt girls together and practice law together. This week, however, is a little different as the guys try to win a case with more serious undertones that revolves around the definition of beauty. Jennifer Putnam (Jillian Bell) is a woman who knows she’s beautiful; so beautiful, in fact, she believes she was fired for it.

“Crunchy Ice” is one of my favorite episodes this season. Tara (Toni Collette) is still MIA but some of the alters– Buck, T, and Alice – make brief appearances before Bryce kills them off. Grandma Sandy points out the oddities of his wife’s behavior to Max, at the museum, “Your wife is humping that sculpture.” And I’m not sure how Bryce uses the urinal in the men’s room. A very confused Neil asks, “So, does your wife have a d*ck now?”
