Transformations: SAMCRO, the Phoenix? – Review: Sons of Anarchy – “Salvage”

It’s the day after the explosion that destroyed the SAMCRO clubhouse, and Jax (Charlie Hunnam) blames himself. As he surveys the damage, he appears to internalize how badly things have gone for SAMCRO. Will this latest act of violence finish the Sons? More importantly, will it push Jax into changing how he runs the MC?

The Lost Colony. Review: Sleepy Hollow – “John Doe”

“John Doe” tells the ill-fated tale of the legendary “lost colony of Roanoke,” an entire village that simply disappeared. That is, until a little boy named Thomas (Matthew Lintz) mysteriously arrives in the woods of Sleepy Hollow bringing with him a plague of some kind infecting Ichabod and many of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) workers.

Cheeseburgers! Recap: Castle – “Number One Fan”

Tonight’s episode of Castle steers away from the norm and creatively blossoms during our favorite hour-long ABC drama. I particularly love the new directions creator Andrew W. Marlowe and company are taking this season and hope to see many more surprises down the road! Only good and happy ones though, AWM…don’t go breaking up Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) or I might have to murder someone myself! There are just so many things to fall in love with during tonight’s episode, “Number One Fan.”

TV News: HBO’s SEDUCED and ABANDONED Debuts Oct. 28

James Toback and Alec Baldwin explore memories and money, freedom and fate, commercialism and confessions. The cinematic romp SEDUCED AND ABANDONED captures the tug-of-war between the eternal dream of creating pure art and the bracing reality of modern movie commerce.

Lost Boys. Retrospective: The White Queen — “The Princess In the Tower”

“You want a throne, but do you even have a boy to put on it?”—Princess Elizabeth
As The White Queen nears its final episode, political intrigue takes center stage. Episodic writer Emma Frost and director Colin Teague keep a firm hold on the suspense surrounding the unfortunate fate of Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Ferguson) sons and daughters in “The Princess in the Tower.”

Double Shot! Book Reviews: “Wait for Me” and “To Give A Heart Wings” by Mary Kay McComas

With both of these titles, I’d say try them out if you already love McComas’ writing. Otherwise, I’d say take it or leave it.

Supernatural Puppet Master. Review: Haven — “The New Girl”

Losing no time, “The New Girl” picks up immediately where “Lost and Found” left off — a stand-off with the Guard, and good old Jordan (Kate Kelton) leading the charge against Nathan (Lucas Bryant), Duke (Eric Balfour), Jennifer (Emma Lahana), and the proverbial new girl on the scene, Lexie (Emily Rose).

Exciting New Series! Review: “The Tomorrow People” – Pilot

I’ve watched the pilot for The Tomorrow People more than once. That’s how much I love this new series.

Witches Brew. Review: American Horror Story: Coven – “Bitchcraft”

“Bitchcraft” is scary, haunting, and chilling sprinkled with a dash of dark humor. This ain’t for the faint of heart or anyone with a weak constitution. American Horror Story: Coven (AHS Coven) comes in with a voracious appetite that will devour you before the end. I’ve been eager for the season to start and it did not leave me disappointed. I’m left wanting…more!

Rebekah’s love for her family and her “whatever it takes” attitude will be sure to make things interesting. Marcel is messing with the wrong group of vampires, that’s for sure.

The Booze Trail Ticking Bomb – Review: Sons of Anarchy – “The Mad King”

In the outlaw world, the next logical step after settling a score is escalation. With the Irish upset at Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and SAMCRO for refusing to continue with the gun running business, will Jax’s attempts to break away work out or will it make things worse?

Seventh Circle of Hell. Retrospective: Sleepy Hollow – “The Lesser Key of Solomon”

In the first ten minutes of “The Lesser Key of Solomon,” we get a love sonnet (of sorts), humor, drama, and torture. If that’s any indication of what’s in store, you don’t know the half of it. This week’s episode gives us a glimpse of the real darkness both Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) are going to be battling.
