Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend. Recap: Castle – “A Murder is Forever”

Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend. Recap: Castle – “A Murder is Forever” 1

“And if you want to be invited into my territory again, you might want to re-think that.” – Kate Beckett. To be honest, I wasn’t completely thrilled with “A Murder is Forever,” but it was certainly a big step up from last week’s “Like Father, Like Daughter.” I won’t even light that fire again. Although “A Murder is Forever” has a lot of things going for it, including a few good Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) scenes, one huge action-packed interlude, and an overall twisty murder investigation, however there are a few things that fell flat for me.

An Unexpected Partnership. Recap: Castle - "Like Father, Like Daughter" 2

As the title “Like Father, Like Daughter” suggests, last night’s Castle was all about Alexis (Molly Quinn). I would have completely loved all the father-daughter scenes between Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Alexis if the episode hadn’t come to life during this season. Alexis used to be the intelligent, levelheaded, voice of reason on the show and I like to admit I had a lot in common with her. Now all I want to do is call her the scum of the earth! All right, that’s a little harsh. But really, she has turned into a spoiled little brat who is acting all kinds of selfish.

A National Treasure. Recap: Castle - "Get A Clue" 3

As you can tell by my five-star rating, I truly loved tonight’s episode of Castle. “Get a Clue” was such a delight to watch because once again, it recalled the playful and mischievous episodes of earlier seasons, and sparked a longstanding curiosity of mine —historical treasure. I mean, who doesn’t believe in secret passageways, coded messages, hidden clues, and ultimately, buried treasure secreted by our founding fathers?! I’m pretty sure Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and I would be the best of friends!

The Future is Calling. Recap: Castle – “Time Will Tell” 4

Despite the title of this episode, “Time Will Tell,” being downright stolen from Alias season one, I wholeheartedly enjoyed this playful episode of Castle! Not only does it feature a pretty geek-tastic storyline, it also blatantly foreshadows plenty of Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) future life accomplishments and guest star Joshua Gomez (Chuck) plays a lovable, yet certifiable “time-traveler” named Simon Doyle. ”Time Will Tell” reminded me of some previous plucky Castle classics circa season one and season two.

Cheeseburgers! Recap: Castle - "Number One Fan" 5

Tonight’s episode of Castle steers away from the norm and creatively blossoms during our favorite hour-long ABC drama. I particularly love the new directions creator Andrew W. Marlowe and company are taking this season and hope to see many more surprises down the road! Only good and happy ones though, AWM…don’t go breaking up Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) or I might have to murder someone myself! There are just so many things to fall in love with during tonight’s episode, “Number One Fan.”

Beckett’s 2 Cool For… Recap: Castle – “Need To Know”

Beckett's 2 Cool For... Recap: Castle - "Need To Know" 6

After a high tension, emotionally draining two-part premiere, Castle returns with a by-the-books episode about a washed up sitcom actor found hanging from a crane hook. Charlie Reynolds (Jeff Grace), made a name for himself on the hit 90’s show, 2 Cool For School playing the lovable nerd, Dewey Hancock.

That’s What Partners Do. Recap: Castle – “Dreamworld”

That's What Partners Do. Recap: Castle - "Dreamworld" 7

Previously on Castle, we were blindsided by a surprise two-part episode that threatened Rick Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) life due to a deadly toxin leaving him less than one day to live. In ”Dreamworld,” we really see the emotional anxieties Castle’s loved ones go through, especially the toll it takes on Beckett (Stana Katic). Overall, I thought “Dreamworld” was handled very nicely.

She. Said... Recap: Castle - "Valkyrie" 8

Season 6, Episode 01 Airdate: Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10/9c on ABC. Rating: “Are you gonna water board me because that would seriously affect our relationship.” – Richard Castle When Castle ended last season, I was one of the few viewers (maybe more, I’m not sure) who weren’t too happy with the outcome and …
