Movie Review: Ghosts of Darkness – B-Movie Charm That Doesn’t Last

There are moments of cheesy fun to be had with Ghosts of Darkness but these moments are far and few between.

Taboo― “Episode 4” Review. Sweet Dreams are Made of This.

This fourth episode of Taboo ends with a request for a duel. How cruel the writers are to leave us hanging like so? I don’t think I can wait until next week to experience the rage that James will unleash on his opponent.

Taboo ― “Episode 3” Review. Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.

Taboo ― “Shovels and Keys” Review. Tom Hardy, F-Bombs, and That Hat.

I don’t mind this venture into 1800s London. With the backstabbing, creeptastic characters, and sultry setting, Taboo might become my new favorite series.

The Walking Dead ― “Hearts Still Beating” Review. Welcome Back, Survivors.

I am excited to say “Hearts Still Beating” is a good, solid episode. It brought about some tears, some cheers, and some hell yeahs. This extended episode left me wanting more.

The Walking Dead – “Sing Me A Song” Review. Inside the Sanctuary.

“Sing Me A Song” moves the story along enough to keep me interested in what will happen next week but my fervor is fading. I miss the zombie in this zombie apocalypse.

The Walking Dead – “Swear” Review. Where Have all the Cowboys Gone?

This season is supposed to be awesome and right now it’s straddling awful. Can we go back to the Kingdom? At least they have a tiger there.

The Walking Dead – “Service” Review. Negan Has ‘Em By the Short and Curlies.

“Service” leaves me in an agitated state. I want there to be more action on the part of the Alexandrians but I know their hands are tied. Or are they?

The Walking Dead – “The Cell” Review. Life is Sweet on Easy Street.

I enjoyed “The Cell” for a couple of reasons. The episode isn’t full of death and gore. It is interesting in various aspects because of the sneak peek into Negan’s operations, and the reveal of what’s happening with Daryl.

The Walking Dead – “The Well” Review. Inside the Kingdom.

The Walking Dead is veering down a windy lane on its trip to Neganville. I’m curious to see how things progress now that we’ve met a new leader, his people, and exposed their connection to the big bad in the area.

The Walking Dead – “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” Review. What. The. Heck?

I can’t say I enjoyed watching The Walking Dead season seven premiere because it was difficult to watch. The gore really got to me in a way it hasn’t before, and the two senseless murders of beloved characters turned my heart to stone.

TV Movie Review: The Rocky Horror Picture Show– Fails To Recapture The Magic

There is a genuine effort at display here and a clear love for the source material, but Rocky Horror never captures the spark of what made the original The Rocky Horror Picture Show so great.

Movie Review: Girl Flu – Heartfelt and Honest.

Girl Flu is a fantastic debut from Barton. It’s a refreshingly honest tale about leaving childhood behind and dealing with becoming an adult.

Movie Review: The People Garden – An Uneventful Tale

The People Garden showcases a terrific performance by Hemingway and some truly beautiful camerawork by Litz but those alone can’t save the film from being an uneventful snooze.

Movie Review: The Neighbor – A Rainy Day Film.

While it succeeds in holding your interest, it fails to grip you in any meaningful way.

Despite some shortcomings, Pritzker’s directorial debut results in a funny and surprisingly heartfelt tale.
