Relationships Matter. Retrospective: Suits – “Shadow of a Doubt”

“Shadow of a Doubt” isn’t your typical episode of Suits; instead, it’s more of a tune up. Just like a car, you need to adjust things now and then to make sure everything runs like it should. “Shadow of a Doubt” gives each character an opportunity to work on their various relationships, and thankfully, they all come out stronger because of it.

I’m still not convinced True Blood is returning to its original roots, even with the cringe-inducing “Life Matters.” There are too many occurrences that could have happened sooner.

Young. Naïve. Infamous. Movie Review: LOVELACE (Starring Amanda Seyfried)

I cannot make claims that I know anything about Deep Throat, a 1972 film featuring real-life porn star, Linda Lovelace. I haven’t seen the film or anything else that relates to it. I went into the pre-screening for Lovelace armed with little knowledge of the film’s center of attention, Linda Lovelace, but I left with a more knowledgeable view of this woman, and how she affected a whole generation.

Small Victories and Perplexing Situations. Retrospective: Falling Skies, Season 3 Finale — “Brazil”

Since the beginning of the season, I had my suspicions about the Volm and why they wanted to help Earth escape the wrath of the tyrannical Espheni. I didn’t think they were a malicious race but I did think the Volm had other plans in mind and I was right, in a sense. As the season ends, questions are answered only to be replaced by more complex queries that will make waiting for season four torturous, at best.

Fast forward seven months later to the San Diego Comic Con. It’s a safe bet the entire press core, including yours truly, was dying to ask Siff what will happen with Tara next season.

Ron Perlman is a Comic Con veteran and a fan favorite, thanks to his successful film career and his recurring role as Clay Morrow in FX’s hit drama series, Sons of Anarchy. In anticipation of his appearances at the convention, fans inundated me with questions about Clay and his starring role in the Hellboy franchise. There are some intense feelings about Clay’s future in the MC but I chose to start with the film project instead.
