Recap/Review: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, S3, E17 - "Going to the Punta!" (Bikinis, Gorgeous Villas, Sex and a Fight: What Else Would You Expect?) 1

By comparison, “Get to the Punta!” is a rather tame episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey—it doesn’t have the usual drama. Instead, there are a lot of fun times and funny happenings. That is, until Teresa and Kathy go at it on the beach.

Video: Watch the Series Premiere of Showtime's Exciting New Series, "Homeland" 3

If you haven’t seen the series premiere of Homeland yet, you’ve probably been in a retreat somewhere with no access to the internet, hiding under a rock, or vacationing in some foreign country. On the off chance you’re one of those people, I’m happy to provide it for you here. As I said in my Advance Review of the premiere, “Homeland has the same great execution, sharp writing, and brilliant acting as [Sleeper Cell].” But who am I to say? You be the judge, and let me know what you think.

Video Interview with Rob McIlhenny of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" 4

It was such a pleasure to speak to Rob McIlhenny (“Mac”), Glenn Howerton (“Dennis”), and Charlie Day (“Charlie”). Each was nicer than the next. They couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried. I have already posted the interviews with Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day, and now since the season premiere has aired, I’m able to post my interview with Rob McIlhenny. I was under an embargo not to show any pictures or videos of Rob prior to the start of the season due to his weight gain.

Advance Review: Showtime’s Homeland, S1, E1 – “Pilot”

Advance Review: Showtime's Homeland, S1, E1 - "Pilot" 6

Homeland is so well written, directed and acted I felt like I was watching a full-length movie rather than the premiere of an exciting new highly addictive television series.

Interview: An Intimate Conversation with Rob McIlhenny of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" 7

Last week, I was extremely anxious to participate in a scheduled conference call with Rob McIlhenny and Glenn Howerton since I had already seen the season premiere and interviewed the guys during a set visit last summer. Unfortunately, I was called away at the last minute *pout*. Nonetheless, I’m happy to provide the fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with the transcript of that call.

Recap/Review: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, S3, E16 - "Singing in the Pain" (Can't We All Just Get Along?) 11

A fun race, a happy get-together, and a heartbreaking birthday party. No wonder this episode is entitled “Singing in the Pain.” It reminds me of Rodney King’s infamous question, “Can’t we all just get along?”

Advance Review: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, S7, E1 - "Frank's Pretty Woman" (Whores, Chimichangas and a Blind Date) #SunnyFX 12

The gang is back and is as irreverent as ever. The season seven premiere starts off with Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Charlie (Charlie Day) explaining to Dennis (Glenn Howerton) why they need a dog-fighting pitbull to guard the bar. Then there’s a mention of Tiger Woods (in relation to his extracurricular activities), and a gay slur which Dee immediately apologizes for. They may be a bit behind the times, but it’s this controversial yet comedic writing that makes Sunny as beloved as it is.

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E9 (Series Finale) - "Ashes" (Everything Old is New Again) 14

I wish I had more than six stars to give this series finale because simply put, “Ashes” knocks it way out of the park. There is the perfect amount of comedy mixed in with the drama and human pathos as everyone’s story is wrapped up to perfection.

"Boardwalk Empire" Returns to HBO Sunday, September 25th 17

Ahh, Atlantic City in the 1920s. Booze flowed freely, albeit illegally, and Nucky Thompson ruled his universe, or so he thought. Things are about to get a whole lot hotter for our favorite politician/gangster as friends, mobsters and family alike challenge Nucky on many fronts. Boardwalk Empire is back for a second exciting season beginning Sunday, September 25th at 9:00 pm ET/PT only on HBO.

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E8 – “Vows”

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E8 - "Vows" 18

As the penultimate episode of Rescue Me, “Vows” hits its mark, and then some. I don’t remember when I laughed at an episode of any show as much as I laughed throughout “Vows.” I hope you’re not easily offended by politically incorrect jokes—especially Mexican ones—because if you are, tune out now. Something tells me though, if you’re a fan of Rescue Me, you won’t. But, while the jokes abound, the episode leaves me crying.

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E7 – “Jeter”

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E7 - "Jeter" 20

I am searching for the right words to express my feelings about “Jeter” because I want to do it justice. While it has its share of comedic moments, the drama is what stays in your mind long after the episode is over. “Jeter” is a heavy-hitting, punch-in-the-belly kind of episode that rips your heart open. It brought tears to my eyes, not once, not twice, but three times as I watched this masterpiece unfold before me.
