Vampire Mob mixes comedy, drama and action in a series with a 21-member cast that includes Emmy-winner Marcia Wallace (The Simpsons), Tony-winner Rae Allen (The Sopranos), Chris Mulkey (Boardwalk Empire), Kirsten Vansgness (Criminal Minds) and Retta (Parks and Recreation).

A Former Love, A Despised Love and Family Love. Review: Smash, S1, E3 – “Enter Mr. DiMaggio”

“Do you think he gave me the part because I slept with him?” ~ Ivy (Megan Hilty) to Jessica (Savannah Wise). Not only is this question on Ivy’s mind, it’s on everyone else’s too. As well it should be since it seems Derek (Jack Davenport) will stop at nothing to get his way. It amazes me that Ivy believes the hogwash Derek feeds her. She may be experienced when it comes to Broadway productions, but she’s a bit naïve when it comes to matters of the heart. Perhaps it’s those rose-colored glasses she’s wearing.

Love, Divorce, and a Failed Meth Lab. Review: Shameless, S2, E7 – “A Bottle of Jean Nate” @SHO_Kareem

Jasmine (Amy Smart) fails to tell Fiona (Emily Rossum) that Steve (Justin Chatwin) and his wife Estefania (Stephanie Fantauzzi) will be among the guests at her end-of-summer bash aboard her lover’s yacht. Frank (William H. Macy) is having a really hard time dealing with his mother, and Kev (Steve Howey) can’t handle Ethel’s (Madison Davenport) disappearance. Karen (Laura Wiggins) regrets her decision to marry Jody (Zach McGowan), and Lip (Jeremy Allen White) and Ian (Cameron Monaghan) finally work things out. Another terrific episode of Shameless!

Review: The Walking Dead “Triggerfinger” (Lori is Stirring Up Trouble… Shane Better Watch Out)

“Triggerfinger” brings a lot of insight to the group as a whole. Glenn is down on himself for being so self-absorbed, but is that a bad thing? Darryl is pulling away from the group but Carol is determined to keep him from straying too far. Shane is going off the deep end and trying to take Lori with him.

Review: The Vampire Diaries “All My Children” (This Ain’t Your Mama’s Soap Opera)

“All My Children” is a solid episode. After being left in suspense for quite a few scenes, the ending is what really sets me on edge. The cliffhangers are killer (pun intended) and the writers know just what to do to get keep us clamoring for more.

Which Hollywood Hunk Does Chris Parnell – voice of Cyrill Figgis on @FXNetworks #ArcherFX – Want To Kiss?

Here is the transcript for the conference call, which sadly I could not partake in at the time. Chris Parnell talks Archer but he also entertains a whimiscal question from one caller who asks if he could steal a kiss from any guy in Hollywood, who would it be? Read more to find out who he would like to smooch!

Review: New Girl “Valentine’s Day” (Where Is The Love?)

I want to see Jess in her element but going above and beyond in the laughs department without choking on a cherry. We know Jess is not like other girls but Deschanel just doesn’t play up her talents the way she should.

Review: #JustifiedFX “Thick As Mud” (The Misadventures of Dewey Crow…to be or not to be…without kidneys?)

As I suspected, Dewey (Damon Herriman) is lying in a bathtub, sans the ice. Poor thing, it appears both kidneys have been removed by Lance (Clayne Crawford) or “Lawrence Nightingale” as Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) calls him, leaving Dewey up the proverbial Shit’s Creek without a boat or a paddle. But, don’t believe everything you see.

E! News Special: “Whitney Houston – Last Days of a Legend” Airs Wednesday, February 15

The death of Whitney Houston is an unspeakable tragedy and I have no words to express my sadness over this great loss. No matter what the cause of death is determined to be, one fact remains true—we have lost a very special, talented woman…a legend who will live in our hearts and minds forever. Happy Valentine’s Day? Review: 2 Broke Girls – “And the Broken Hearts”

Sadly, no one has a date for Valentine’s Day. Max (Kat Dennings) sarcastically says she wants “real love, like ‘Ice Loves Coco’” but most of the girls’ time is spent visiting Earl in the hospital, which they gladly do.

Light, Meet Dark. Review: Lost Girl – “Dead Lucky”

They’re at the police station and this time, they both decide they need to set some ground rules for their “friends with benefits” status. Did you see how Bo’s face falls when he reminds her they’re not exclusive?

And the Role Goes to… Review: Smash – “The Callback”

I knew the choice of who would play Marilyn would be made sooner rather than later, but I didn’t expect it to happen so soon in the season. It all comes down to this: go with the experienced chorus line girl or the fresh-faced ingénue who captures Marilyn Monroe’s essence? Before I reveal who gets the role of her lifetime, let’s take a look at the episode.

Grammy’s Back! Review: Shameless – “Can I Have a Mother” @SHO_Kareem @SHO_Shameless

“Can I Have a Mother” is brilliantly written and acted. For those who have been saying Macy was miscast in the role of Frank, I say “Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.”

Review: The Walking Dead “Nebraska” (I Still Don’t Get What the Title Means)

“Nebraska” is a well done return to season two of The Walking Dead. I feel like we’re finally moving forward with the story and things will be different from here on out. While there were a few predictable moments, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by those that were unexpected too.

Review: The Vampire Diaries “Dangerous Liaisons” (A Ball, Botched Murder Attempt, and Unrequited Love)

When we learn how dangerous it can be to befriend any member of the original family without some sort of consequence, we understand how aptly titled “Dangerous Liaisons” is. Not only do the vamps look out for themselves, they also have serious hidden agendas that won’t remain hidden for long.

Video Interview with John Wells, Executive Producer of Shameless

It’s always interesting to hear what the producer was thinking about for a particular episode. Especially if that happens after the episode has aired. Such is the case with Executive Producer John Wells as he discusses his thoughts about last week’s episode of Shameless, “Father’s Day.” And for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, check out my review.

Movie News: Magnolia Takes US Rights to Rob Reiner’s THE MAGIC OF BELLE ISLE (Starring Morgan Freeman)

The Wagner/Cuban Company’s Magnolia Pictures announced today they have acquired US rights to THE MAGIC OF BELLE ISLE, a warmly funny drama directed by Rob Reiner, starring Morgan Freeman, Virginia Madsen, Madeline Carroll, Kenan Thompson, and Fred Willard. The film was written by Guy Thomas, and produced by Alan Greisman, Lori McCreary, Salli Newman and David Valdes.

Review: #JustifiedFX “The Devil You Know” (“I’m sensing a disturbance in the force.”)

Ellstin Limehouse is holding money for the Bennett family and we know every Tom, Dickie (Jeremy Davies), and Harry wants it. Of course, now that Dickie is out of jail, thanks to prison guard Ash and male nurse Lance, things go from bad to worse. While I find the whole ‘get the money’ scheme a bit overdone, I will say “The Devil You Know” is quite entertaining and very humorous.

Review: New Girl “The Landlord” (He Loses His Pants and His Damn Mind!)

“The Landlord” brings to mind the craziness we can encounter in the world when we allow ourselves to open up and be nice.
