Will Beverly Be Able to Save Her Marriage? Review: Episodes – “Episode 1”
Last season, Episodes was an entertaining romp, and if what I’ve seen of season two is any indication, we’re in for even more fun! Many shows have revolved around what goes on behind the scenes of a TV show but in my opinion, Episodes does it best. It’s an intelligent mockup of sitcoms—highly entertaining with smart writing and excellent comedic timing by the show’s four major stars: Matt LeBlanc, Tamsin Greig, Stephen Mangan and John Pankow.

How Do You Make People Realize They Need Help? Review: Necessary Roughness – “Slumpbuster”
TK (Mehcad Brooks) is practicing as hard and as much as he can but his leg still hurts. And, he won’t discuss the shooting with Dr. Dani Santino (Callie Thorne), which she thinks is the root of his problems. Matt (Marc Blucas) thinks he has the answer to TK’s dilemma by virtue of a professional masseuse named Simone (Sharon Gee), while Dani deals with baseball’s MVP Edmond Gonzo’s (Adam Rodriguez) problem with his “slumpbuster,” Denise (Lindsay Hollister). In the meantime, Marshall Pittman (Evan Handler) and estranged wife Gabrielle “Gabby” (Liz Vassey) argue over team ownership. With all involved, there’s a central theme—needing help but not knowing it.

Ru-Ru-Ru-RY-Sharona! Review: Wilfred, S2, Ep 201 “Letting Go”
Wilfred is Back!! I have eagerly been anticipating the season two premiere and there are plenty of “WTF” and “WOW, did he just say that” moments to be had! There are so many moments where I laugh out loud and cringe a bit in “Letting Go.” The dialogue is witty and the chemistry between Wood and Gann is still fantastic and playful. And the comedy is as raunchy and uninhibited as ever…just the way I like it!

I Confess…I’m Displeased. Review: The Borgias, S2 Finale “The Confession”
As finales go, I’m not happy with how things have ended. It was lackluster, and there wasn’t really a buildup to the bloody cliffhanger. Will the Pope survive? And now that Cesare has been released from his Cardinal vows, what will he do? I feel unsatisfied but, thankfully, still hungry for The Borgias.

TV News: And the Winner Is: Second Annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards
I am extremely excited that Homeland walked away with the Best Drama Series award, as well as the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for Claire Danes too. That’s because not only am I a hardcore fan, but I reviewed the show weekly during its freshman season and I intend to continue reviewing Homeland when it returns on September 30 at 10/9c ET/PT on Showtime. I’m also ecstatic that Tom Bergeron and Cat Deely tied for Best Reality Show Host for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, respectively. But this isn’t just about my favorites; it’s about all the award-winning series and people associated with them. And, as far as networks go, NBC was clearly the winner with five shows winning awards.
