Burned. Review: Lost Girl – “The Girl Who Fae’d With Fire”

The next scene is like a loud echo of the scene in the film Mystic Pizza, where Julia Roberts’ character tells off her rich boyfriend for using her, “a poor Portugue,” to get back at his wealthy family. Other than Fletcher and Val being snobby and haughty toward humans, they believe that Fae should not coexist with humans, as Hale believes they should.

Review: True Blood “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” So Will It Be Bill or Russell?

The liberties taken by the writers in True Blood illustrate just how off the mark the show has become. I won’t say all the deviations haven’t been interesting, because some of them have, but I wonder what this season would have looked like had Eric and Sookie spent more time figuring out the dynamic of their relationship.

“Sometimes fate throws you a favor.” Review: Falling Skies, S2, Ep.208 “Death March”

The road to Charleston is bumpy and full of revelations but the end of the road reveals the most devastating news—Charleston is a city in ruins. But all hope isn’t lost…an old friend returns to show the 2nd Mass that “looks can be deceiving.”

Round Table Discussion: Warehouse 13 – “An Evil Within”

As you know, Warehouse 13 is one of my favorite shows. I’ve been a guest commentator on the Warehouse 13 Round Table, along with Jim and Nick, at TV Fanatic. Here’s our discussion for the second episode “An Evil Within”

Comic-Con – Sons of Anarchy: As Jax Excels as SAMCRO’s President, is Charlie Hunnam Ready to Be a Blockbuster Star?

We caught up with Charlie Hunnam during the Sons of Anarchy press conference during San Diego’s Comic-Con. The number one question on most reporters’ minds was if Jax Teller is mentally and emotionally ready to be the next SAMCRO president in the show’s upcoming fifth season. And more importantly, what does Hunnam think about it?

Comic-Con – Kurt Sutter: The Expansion of the Sons of Anarchy Universe, Season Five and the Truth about John Teller’s Death

The last time I attended San Diego Comic-Con was two years ago. Sons of Anarchy was picking up steam but it wasn’t the worldwide hit it is today. I also recall Kurt Sutter discussing his dislike for crowds as if he dreaded having to go to Comic-Con. Flash forward to 2012: Sons of Anarchy is the most successful show in FX Network’s history and Sutter seemed almost –strong emphasis there– excited to be at Comic-Con.

Comic-Con 2012 – MAGGIE SIFF: Fans Will See a More Protective and Angrier Tara in Season Five

Maggie Siff’s character, Dr. Tara Knowles, will be the new queen of the SAMCRO universe when the upcoming season five of Sons of Anarchy premieres on September 11. The anticipation of how that is going to play out is high among the show’s fans. Armed with a long list of questions, I was determined to find out as much as possible during the show’s press conference at Comic-Con.

Eww, Ryan Gets “…jizz blasted…” Review: Wilfred “Avoidance”

I am torn. I laughed a lot during “Avoidance” but I was also very…uncomfortable. In an effort to avoid making the issue bigger later (as noted in the quote), I admit that the whole ejaculation portion of this episode grossed me out.

2012 Comic-Con: Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam Talk about Going from Sons of Anarchy to… Slow Dancing Together! (Yes, You Read that Right.)

Apparently, Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam can’t get enough of working together. After filming FX’s hit drama Sons of Anarchy for the last five years, they also appear together in Jordan Robert’s small independent film Frankie Go Boom and in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim—one of the anticipated summer 2013 blockbusters.

Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman on SOA Season Five: Why Gemma Doesn’t Want to Do Anything with Clay and Why Clay Won’t Take the Backseat to No One.

Season four of Sons of Anarchy ended with the fracturing of numerous relationships, some of them marriages and others were life-long friendships. No other couple underwent as much drama as Gemma and Clay. At San Diego Comic-Con, we had the opportunity to sit down with Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman to figure out how things are shaping up with their characters for season five which is just around the corner.

One small step for man. White Collar – Review: “Parting Shots”

When Sara Ellis asks Peter and Neal to help her discover whether recently widowed (and altogether gorgeous) Sophie deserves the $50,000,000 she stands to inherit from her dead husband, the team gets a bit more than they bargained for.

“Scones and evil, that’s what we do.” Review: Warehouse 13 S4, “An Evil Within”

While Brother Adrian (guest star Brent Spiner) seeks Artie’s assistance to find the person who stole and used the astrolabe, Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly) must figure out why people are seeing outrageous tentacled monsters. Claudia uses the metronome to save Jinks but there are ramifications.

In the Monday, September 17 episode at 9PM (ET/PT), Laura Innes (ER, The Event) will play Emma Jinks, the mother of Agent Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore), who has been estranged from her son for two years.

Even Moyer’s Direction Couldn’t Save This One… Review: True Blood “Somebody I Used to Know”

I’m still not sure what to think of “Somebody That I Used to Know.” None of the events in the episode seemed to chime in with where I thought the show was going. It was more of a “WTF?!” display than quality television.

2012 Comic-Con – Clue-In to Psych Season Seven – Love is in the Air!

The Psych roundtable-style press conference started with executive producers Chris Henze and Kelly Kulchak discussing how much they are looking forward to season seven. The producers were not only talking about a board game inspired episode but a direct tie-in to the 1985 film as Lesley Ann Warren, Martin Mull and Christopher Lloyd will be appearing as Psych guest stars. “It’s really a lot of fun and the guys did an amazing job,” Henze proudly reported.
