FX hosted a conference call with the hit series’ creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter to discuss his decision to kill fan favorite Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst). Sons of Anarchy fans are still recovering from the violent manner in which Opie met his demise in this week’s episode, “Laying Pipe.”

It’s a Dog-Eat-Dog World. Review: Haven, S3 “Stay”

“Stay” presents us with the very strange case of Tor (Adrian G. Griffiths), a single father whose “trouble” seems to turn animals into humans. There is a lot of contention lingering in the air, especially surrounding Duke. And what’s up with the new shrink in town?

A Blutbad In Sheep’s Clothing. Review: Grimm, S2 “The Good Shepherd”

Nick and Hank must figure out if a Blutbad Reverend is intending to devour his flock of sheep’s offerings and fly the coop; Monroe goes undercover to sniff out if his fellow Blutbad is on the up and up; and Juliette still can’t remember Nick but I think she’s warming up to him.

Movie Trailer: The Details – A surprising dark comedy starring Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, and Ray Liotta

The synopsis doesn’t do the trailer justice because I only saw a raccoon once. What grabs you is Tobey Maguire’s character sleezing it up with all his neighbors. Watch the trailer…

Murder in the Warehouse! Review: Warehouse 13, S4 “The Ones You Love”

The evil of Artie’s (Saul Rubinek) own making becomes deadlier than I imagined. Not only have artifacts gone missing—causing mayhem in the world—but now the team’s families are involved and getting caught in the line of fire. As Myka (Joanne Kelly), Pete (Eddie McClintock), and Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) race to save their loved ones, Jinks (Aaron Ashmore) joins Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) in Rome as they try to find clues within the Vatican walls.

A Good Read Though Missing… Something. Book Review: Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick

This novel is not what I expected in the continuing saga of the Ashes trilogy. While I enjoyed reading Shadows, I didn’t love it. I was anticipating the resolution of some of the story arcs from the first installment and felt Bick only gave us a little teaser.

Close Encounters of the Troubled Kind. Review: Haven, S3 “301”

Close encounters…of the troubled kind is what’s in store for Havenites. An alien abduction, magnetic fields, invisible forces attacking, crop circles, and lights in the sky—is Haven being invaded by space aliens, or is this the work of a “troubled” mind? As Duke (Eric Balfour) points out, “Everything that’s happening now, happened before.”

Shhh….It’s a Secret! Review: Wilfred, S2, Season Finale “Secrets”

WOW! What a twist of events. As season finales go, this one threw me for a loopty-loop! Did you expect that ending? Is Ryan the one who sold his former company’s secret to cash in on a $10.2 million payout? Can Amanda really understand Wilfred too?

Two New and Four Returning Bravo Series Come to our Screens This November

As the popular series The Real Housewives of New York and Top Chef All-Stars come to a close, Bravo is ready for an exciting November with two new series, Silicon Valley Start-Ups and LOLwork, and four returning series, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Top Chef: Seattle, and Million Dollar Decorators. I confess to being a loyal fan of The Real Housewives franchise, as well as Top Chef, so I’m truly looking forward to November. I’m especially excited about LOLwork because if it’s anything like what I’ve seen on the web, we’ll all be LOL’ing.

This One Makes You Think… Book Review: Unwind by Neal Shusterman

What seemingly begins as a stand against issues concerning abortion, children’s rights and a person’s right to choose evolves into an action-filled, overthrow-the-man type novel. I like that Unwind makes you think because it shows both sides of the argument ‘what to do with unwanted children.’

Spy Thriller, Hunted, Premieres October 19 on Cinemax

Since I am totally hooked on Cinemax’s first new original high octane series, Emmy®-nominated Strike Back now in its second season, I can’t wait to see what Cinemax’s new spy thriller Hunted has to offer. Having received an initial eight-episode order, the new drama series premieres Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:00 pm ET/PT and stars Golden Globe nominee Melissa George (HBO’s In Treatment). From the press release below, I’m anxious to see if it lives up to its description.

Punching Bag. Review: Warehouse 13, S4 “Second Chances”

“Second Chances” packs a lot of punches—both literally and figuratively. After begrudgingly taking a mysterious case of people rusting away, Myka and Pete head to a small steel mill town in West Virginia to investigate. Jinks and Claudia take a trip to his hometown to find answers to him being free of the metronome. And back at the warehouse, Artie must contend with Mrs. Frederic about the astrolabe.

A crushing bear hug. Review: White Collar Summer Season Finale – “Vested Interest”

What a way to make an exit! “Vested Interest” has tension, banter, friendship repaired, bullets flying, truth revealed, and a rat! I’m always impressed by the writing on this show – the interactions and dialog flow so naturally viewers may feel as if they’re peering into the lives of these characters – but this season the writers have outdone themselves. Some of the plot points were telegraphed a bit, but the impact to the players involved minimized any predictability of the events unfolding around them.

Sins of the Fathers and a Brothel Wedding. Review: Sons of Anarchy – Season 5, Episode 2 “Authority Vested”

“Man, you guys are having a rough run!” Nero Padilla (Jimmy Smits) tells Jax (Charlie Hunnam). Truer words couldn’t have been said. Payback, revenge, and home invasions are the focus of “Authority Vested.”
