The Future is Calling. Recap: Castle – “Time Will Tell”
Despite the title of this episode, “Time Will Tell,” being downright stolen from Alias season one, I wholeheartedly enjoyed this playful episode of Castle! Not only does it feature a pretty geek-tastic storyline, it also blatantly foreshadows plenty of Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) future life accomplishments and guest star Joshua Gomez (Chuck) plays a lovable, yet certifiable “time-traveler” named Simon Doyle. ”Time Will Tell” reminded me of some previous plucky Castle classics circa season one and season two.

Book Review – “Sky’s End: Book One in the Cassiel Winters Series” by Lesley Young
Sky’s End is an engaging and stimulating point of view of the intergalactic frontier sprinkled with a dash of mystery, intrigue, and romance. As a fan of the sci-fi genre, I was more than a little intrigued given the fact the book is written by a woman. Most of the sci-fi I’ve read has been written from a male perspective. And the romance aspect of Sky’s End also fascinated me.

Sweet Vengeance. Advance Review: Dracula – “The Blood Is The Life”
NBC’s Dracula is a fresh spin on the classic tale. While many of the characters are there, this retelling delves into a darker side of Grayson/Dracula’s origins and how he becomes the man/vampire he is today. The story unfolds with a captivating opening sequence and we get a glimpse of the darkness that waits. Two men lower themselves into a dark cave and discover Dracula’s coffin. One sacrifices the other to resurrect the decrepit creature from his long, dry slumber…

The Lost Colony. Review: Sleepy Hollow – “John Doe”
“John Doe” tells the ill-fated tale of the legendary “lost colony of Roanoke,” an entire village that simply disappeared. That is, until a little boy named Thomas (Matthew Lintz) mysteriously arrives in the woods of Sleepy Hollow bringing with him a plague of some kind infecting Ichabod and many of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) workers.

Cheeseburgers! Recap: Castle – “Number One Fan”
Tonight’s episode of Castle steers away from the norm and creatively blossoms during our favorite hour-long ABC drama. I particularly love the new directions creator Andrew W. Marlowe and company are taking this season and hope to see many more surprises down the road! Only good and happy ones though, AWM…don’t go breaking up Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) or I might have to murder someone myself! There are just so many things to fall in love with during tonight’s episode, “Number One Fan.”

James Toback and Alec Baldwin explore memories and money, freedom and fate, commercialism and confessions. The outcome is a film about the nitty-gritty of great movies, revealing a Cannes that is in equal parts cinematic Valhalla and madcap bazaar. The cinematic romp SEDUCED AND ABANDONED captures the tug-of-war between the eternal dream of creating pure art and the bracing reality of modern movie commerce.
