I provide testosterone to the site. You won’t be reading about how nice a actress looks in a dress or how much of a hunk Matt Bomer is in my reviews. I describe colors using words like brown, not taupe. My twitter name is @staffaroadtrip because I love road trips and have done two different 48-state road trips since 2008. My favorite show is White Collar.

White Chocolate. Review: Psych - “Dead Air” 1

When Crock Daniels (Brent Chapman), a popular morning radio DJ, is shot while on the air, it’s up to Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) to not only find the killer, but to take over the radio show. Shawn as a radio DJ? How hard could that be?

Starfish Spencer. Review: Psych – “Office Space”

Starfish Spencer. Review: Psych - "Office Space" 2

For much of season seven, I was concerned that Gus has been reduced to more of a minor character. At times, it even seems like Woody (Kurt Fuller) has been given scenes that in previous seasons would have been written for Gus. Psych has always been about the friendship between Shawn and Gus and when the writers deviate from that, they lose some of the show’s identity. Thankfully, “Office Space” is a fun episode that puts Shawn and Gus’ relationship back on track.

Vote for Spencer. Review: Psych - “Santa Barbarian Candidate” 3

When the Mayor of Santa Barbara is found murdered, Shawn (James Roday) must find a way to keep his main suspect from taking over as interim Mayor even if that means running himself.

Warehouse 13 Conference call with Executive Producer and Show runner Jack Kenny and actor Eddie McClintock (Pete) with Joanne Kelly (Myka). There is discussion about shaving a dog, Pete’s on-screen sexy sister, guest stars including Polly Walker, James Marsters, and Anthony Head, Steve Valentine, Nora Zehetner, Missi Pyle and Enrico Colantoni…and so much more.

Joint Fruit Loops. Review: Psych – “Juliet Wears the Pantsuit”

Joint Fruit Loops. Review: Psych - “Juliet Wears the Pantsuit” 5

Season seven has really been Juliet’s (Maggie Lawson) year, from entire episodes that focused on her and her character growth, to her kicking ass and saving the day. “Juliet Wears the Pantsuit” is no exception, especially since we get what looks like not only one Juliet, but two.

Wet Toilet Paper. Review: Psych – “Right Turn or Left for Dead”

Wet Toilet Paper. Review: Psych - "Right Turn or Left for Dead" 6

“Right Turn or Left for Dead,” Shawn’s (James Roday) life splits into Juliet (Maggie Lawson) knowing his secret and Juliet not knowing his secret. This impacts not only Shawn and Juliet’s life but the lives of everyone around them, as well as the case Shawn and Gus (Dulé Hill) are working on.

Frankie Friction. Retrospective: Psych – “Deez Nups”

Frankie Friction. Retrospective: Psych - "Deez Nups" 7

“Deez Nups” is a fun episode filled with everything you would expect from a Psych wedding. In many ways, I wish this had been the highly hyped 100th episode because it had what I felt was missing —a part for everyone. The whole cast was involved, providing a fun celebration for everyone

Tito Jackson’s B-day. Review: Psych – “Cirque Du Soul”

Tito Jackson’s B-day. Review: Psych - "Cirque Du Soul" 8

Gus (Dule Hill) plans a “big boy day” in an effort to spend some quality time with his girlfriend Rachael’s (Parminder Nagra) son, Maximus (Mateen Devji). When Maximus rejects his list of things to do, Shawn (James Roday) suggests the circus; little does Gus know that’s the location of their next case

Prof. Plum in the Study with a Candlestick. Review: Psych - "100 Clues" 9

Shawn (James Roday) is invited to a party at a mysterious house by an unknown host. Shawn takes Gus (Dule Hill) with him instead and soon they realize that a case from their past has brought all the players back together again, but for what reason? During the evening, someone is found murdered, leaving them all to wonder which one of them is the murderer and who is next?

It’s Semantics. Review: Psych – “No Country for Two Old Men”

It’s Semantics. Review: Psych - "No Country for Two Old Men" 10

Is there such a shortage of writers that new and original ideas have run dry? Don’t get me wrong, homage episodes can be cute every now and then but it’s starting to look like Psych is a show that only does homages of other shows.

Dry Rub. Review: Psych – “Lassie Jerky”

Dry Rub. Review: Psych - "Lassie Jerky" 11

The other day, I was tweeting that I’m not a fan of episodes directed by James Roday (who plays Shawn Spencer). It prompted a reply from Terry Goldman, Director of Social Media for USA Network who asked, “Why in particular? His directing always pays great homage to classic films.” I told Mr Goldman those episodes reminded me of the Sesame Street song, “One of These Things is Not Like the Other.”

Review: Psych – “Juliet Takes a Luvvah”

Review: Psych - "Juliet Takes a Luvvah" 12

What goes around comes around. Season six had Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill) joining a Bachelorette-type reality TV show, much to Juliet’s chagrin, in “Shawn and the Real Girl.” The tables turn in “Juliet Takes a Luvvah,” when it’s Juliet’s turn to try out the online dating scene by going undercover in search of a killer, which doesn’t thrill Shawn at all. Making matters worse, Gus joins the same site in search of his soul mate.

Blue Eyes. Review: White Collar Season Finale – “In the Wind”

Blue Eyes. Review: White Collar Season Finale - "In the Wind" 13

The last few episodes of White Collar have really been about Neal (Matt Bomer) stepping out of the shadows and finding out who he really is. Between witness protection and life as a con man, Neal has always lived his life pretending to be someone else. There’s a touching scene in the beginning of “In the Wind” with Neal sitting on a park bench with his father James (Treat Williams) discussing the evidence box Neal hopes will clear his father, when it suddenly dawns on James what the real reason is for Neal wanting to find the box.

Gluten and Dairy Free Ice Cream. Review: White Collar - "The Original" 14

Overall, this is a great episode, which comes down to the writing. I know I’ve said this before, but White Collar is one of the best written shows on the air. So many of the relationships in White Collar are about reading between the lines—a look, a glance, a smile—all so well written and acted, the audience is able to follow along with ease.

Mexican Standoff, Review: Psych - "Santabarbaratown 2" 15

Eleven months has been a long time for Psych fans to wait in between seasons. However, any doubts I had about Psych’s seventh season have been put to rest. Psych is back and so far, it has hit the ground running. The writing feels fresh and re-energized.

Don’t Take It So Personally. Retrospective: Suits – “Normandy”

Pearson Hardman continues to struggle as it tries to keep its clients and rebuild its image. Daniel (David Costabile) wants to destroy his old law firm and doesn’t make things any easier when he fast tracks seven of the Folsom Foods sexual discrimination cases, in each of seven cities, as a way to stretch Pearson Hardman’s limited resources.

Father vs. Daughter: Review: Suits – “Zane vs. Zane”

Pearson Hardman has survived a civil war, leaving other law firms wondering if it has left them weak. This gets tested when an opposing lawyer dies, opening up the opportunity for the new legal counsel to try to rework an agreed-upon settlement deal in their favor. Making things even more difficult, the new attorney happens to be Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce), father to Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), a paralegal at Pearson Hardman.
