I am stoked for the new season of Ghost Hunters but have famed director Guillermo Del Toro take over the Ghost Hunters’ Twitter account is pretty damn awesome!

In a press release today:

SYFY’S GHOST HUNTERS TWITTER ACCOUNT TO HOST GUILLERMO DEL TORO LIVE Q&A IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEASON 9 PREMIERE ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16 AT 9 PM ET/PT

New York, NY – January 15, 2013 – Syfy’s longest-running unscripted series, Ghost Hunters, goes Hollywood for its ninth season premiere on Wednesday, January 16 at 9 PM ET/PT with two Los Angeles-based investigations and a Twitter takeover by famed film director Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy series, Pan’s Labyrinth), executive producer of Universal Pictures’ upcoming supernatural thriller, Mama.

In the Season 9 Ghost Hunters premiere episode, “Hollywood Horror Stories,” which airs at 9 PM ET/PT, Jason Hawes leads TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) on spooky Los Angeles investigations at the historic Sowden House – said to be the site where Elizabeth Short, aka “The Black Dahlia,” was gruesomely murdered – and Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

Then, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT, fans can join famed film director Guillermo del Toro when he takes over the @GhostHunters Twitter account for a special live Q&A about his upcoming supernatural thriller, Mama, which arrives in theaters on Friday.

Universal Pictures serves as the presenting on-air sponsor of the Ghost Hunters season premiere, showcasing the upcoming theatrical release of Mama. The film’s executive producer, Guillermo del Toro, will bring the Syfy audience exclusive content on Mama through a series of hosted wraps. These will lead up to an exclusive Premiere Imagination clip which will air during the premiere of Syfy’s latest original series, Ghost Mine, at 10 PM ET/PT.

Dream chaser extraordinaire! Judy tends to be a tad sarcastic and kind of goofy! She is an avid admirer of all things supernatural, paranormal, celestial and mystical. She loves to read, write, and watches way too much TV. She enjoys many genres of film and music (and let's be honest, most music from the 80s). She also has a wicked sweet tooth. Cupcakes beware.
