Review: New Girl “Control” (There’s Nothing Wrong With Being A Neat Freak…)

I want to like “Control” more than I do, but I just don’t feel the Schmidt-centric topic which really isn’t very funny.

News: HBO Cancels Luck

It is with heartbreak that executive producers David Milch and Michael Mann together with HBO have decided to cease all future production on the series LUCK.

News: CBS Announces Broadcast Renewals for the 2012-2013 TV Season

With many of my favorite television series on CBS, I was happy to read the network’s announcement today of the shows that will be returning for the 2012-2013 broadcast season. Included in the list are such favorites as The Good Wife, Blue Bloods and The Big Bang Theory. In all, 18 series are returning, including four comedies, nine dramas, three reality shows and two newsmagazines.

Interview: Fairly Legal’s Sarah Shahi Talks About Season 2 and a New Movie with Milo Ventimiglia

Intereview: USA Network held a conference call with ‘Fairly Legal’ star Sarah Shahi on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Shahi Talks About Season 2, Juggling Motherhood, Work, and a New Movie Static with Milo Ventimiglia!

Review: #JustifiedFX “Loose Ends” (“There’s a war coming…” I wish it would hurry because I’m getting antsy!)

“There’s a war coming; you really wanna see Noble’s become a battleground?” ~ Raylan For a moment, I think of Game of Thrones.. But we are nowhere near Winterfell. I won’t lie and say I didn’t enjoy the episode however; I will be honest and say it left me wanting. It’s episode nine for Pete’s sake and I’m ready for the Quarles-Crowder-Givens-Limehouse battle to commence!

Interview: Mary McCormack and Frederick Weller Talk About In Plain Sight’s Final Season

On Monday, March 12, 2012, I participated in a conference call with two of my favorite actors, Mary McCormack and Frederick Weller from USA Network’s In Plain Sight. As usual, they were candid, entertaining and as forthcoming as possible without divulging too much about the show’s fifth and final season.

GAME OF THRONES Begins Its Second Season April 1st

Game of Thrones returns April 1, 2012 at 9pm on HBO. Spoilers ahead!

Do You Believe in Fate? Review: Lost Girl – “Fae Day”

Siobhan the Banshee’s (Sarah Power) ear-piercing wail in the Fae bar foretells someone’s death by sundown. It could be any one of the members of the Five Families, but I figure it’s not a major character.

A lost voice, a sexual encounter and a melt-down. Review: Smash – “Chemistry” (@NBCSmash)

There’s only one week until the workshop and everyone is stressed out. Derek (Jack Davenport) is angry with Julia (Debra Messing), Tom (Christian Borle) is angry with Derek (as usual), and Ivy (Megan Hilty) is on the verge of losing her voice. “Chemistry” deals with the chemistry between Michael (Will Chase) and Julia; Ivy and Derek; Eileen (Angelica Huston) and Ellis (Jaime Cepero).

Mary’s a Mom! Advance Review, In Plain Sight – “The Anti-Social Network” @InPlainSightUSA

It used to be having a show on Friday primetime was its death knell. But that all changed when such series as Blue Bloods, Grimm and Supernatural began to flourish. Now, In Plain Sight has been added to the ever-growing list of Friday night must-watch TV when the series switches nights for its final season beginning March 16, 2012 at 10/9c on the USA network.

It’s Party Time at the Gallaghers! Review: Shameless – “Hurricane Monica” @SHO_Kareem @SHO_Shameless

So Peg (Louise Fletcher) dies and Frank (William H. Macy) moves Monica (Chloe Webb), the kids’ mom, into the Gallagher household? What’s up with that? No one likes her and they can’t believe Frank does this. Don’t they have enough to deal with without having an unwanted mother constantly underfoot disrupting their routine? I’m shocked that Frank feels the need to have Monica around and I’m not sure what her real reason is for staying. I know she says she wants to make up for missed time but honestly, do you believe that? Nah, me neither.

Review: The Walking Dead “Better Angels” (A Botched Murder, Kid With A Pistol, and Insta-Zombies!)

I’m speechless—there are too many “holy shit!” moments to count, and I’m not sure I can stand the suspense of waiting seven more days until I can get my next The Walking Dead fix.

Article: ABC’s Once Upon A Time panel at Paleyfest 2012

Once Upon A Time at Paleyfest 2012: The video speaks for itself. (And I have the entire panel discussion thanks to a full battery and no technical issues!) There are many wonderful moments, but one that immediately stands out in my mind is when an audience member from England thanks Josh Dallas (Prince Charming/David) for getting her 12 year old granddaughter “off Justin Bieber.” The entire place roared with laughter! It was hysterical.

American Horror Story Panel at Paleyfest 2012

Opening the 29th Annual Paleyfest is FX’s American Horror Story. Panel discussion with cast members: Connie Britton (Vivien Harmon), Dylan McDermott (Ben Harmon), Jessica Lange (Constance Langdon), Sarah Paulson (Billie Dean), Frances Conroy (Moira, Sr.), and Alexandra Breckenridge (Moira, Jr.). Also present were co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, and Dante Di Loreto, Executive Producer.

Movie News: Long-Awaited Film Footage from “On the Road” premieres today on Facebook

Film footage from one of the movies with the longest incubation periods in history is expected to be released today. A sneak peak at On the Road will be making its debut today via the film’s Facebook page. The movie is based on Jack Kerouac’s novel and its release clearly honors the writer who would have been 90 years old on March 12th.

Interview with Jennifer Westfeldt and Adam Scott of “Friends with Kids”

I had the distinct pleasure of not only watching a screening of the new movie, Friends with Kids, set to be released Friday, March 9, 2012, but participating in a Q&A with the film’s writer/producer/director/star Jennifer Westfeldt and her co-star, Adam Scott, as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, as I’m sure everyone will but please feel free to check out my review here on YEC.

Best Friends Really Do Make the Best Couples. Movie Review: “Friends with Kids”

Friends with Kids is an enjoyable, funny movie and more likely than not, will be a box-office success. While the subject matter is nothing new, already being compared to When Harry Met Sally and others of its ilk, the dialogue is fresh, the ensemble cast shines, and writer/producer/director Jennifer Westfeldt does an excellent job wearing each hat, especially since she also stars in the movie.

Review: Alcatraz – Season 1, Episode 9, “Sonny Burnett” – Survival of the Fittest – Nightmares, Family Bonds and Revenge

In Alcatraz, the past continues to creep into the present. Sonny Burnett (Theo Rossi of Sons of Anarchy) ends up in prison for kidnapping and puts his life on the line by guaranteeing $100,000 of hidden money to an inmate ‘boss’ in exchange for his safety during his two-year prison stint. When the money can’t be found, his life is endangered, leading to a scary transformation. The new and improved Sonny returns to present-day San Francisco, with vengeance on his mind.

Review: New Girl – “Injured” (Nick Should Get Tackled By Jess More Often)

Although the first half of the show is hilarious, the second half merely holds its own. I don’t want to be too picky so I’m just gonna say, we can do better next week!

Review: #JustifiedFX “Watching The Detectives” (“ice-cold, remorseless, bottle blonde, sh*t bag killer”)

Raylan – a dirty cop? Who would believe such a thing? Apparently Winona is having some doubts. Limehouse wants to “back the winning side” meaning he’s in Quarles’ corner – things are really taking an interesting turn. And Duffy wants to break Raylan over a step ladder and ride him like a teaser pony! I never expected those words to fall from his lips.

A Clownish, Vexing Vamp. Review: Lost Girl – “Vexed”

As Bo has not chosen sides, she is being told by everyone to stay out of the Lou Ann situation as it involves the Dark Faes.

An Arrest, Some Sex and a Stolen Kiss. Review: #Smash – “Let’s Be Bad” @NBCSmash

You may notice this review is slightly less enthusiastic than my previous ones. That’s because the writing is becoming a little too predictable and the show is beginning to move a little too slowly for my taste. I want to yell at Derek and say, “Get a move on, already! Just tell Ivy she’s out and Karen’s in!” What do you all think?

Interview with IronE Singleton (T-Dog) of The Walking Dead

So Which One Are You? Review: The Walking Dead “Judge, Jury, Executioner”

I know I’m not the only one who wants to know just what the hell was on Carl’s mind when he decides to taunt a zombie.
