TV News: Nominees for the 2012 Emmys
Early this morning, the Academy for Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. Leading the pack are American Horror Story and Mad Men, each with 17 nominations. Jimmy Kimmel is this year’s host for the awards show, which begins airing live on ABC at 7:00 pm ET/PT with red Carpet arrivals at the NOKIA Theatre.

“We are anything but safe!” Review: Falling Skies “Homecoming”
“Homecoming” means just that. Many former members of the 2nd Mass return, including a now de-harnessed Karen (Jessy Schram). But her arrival seems a bit out of the ordinary and I, like Maggie (Sarah S. Carter), don’t fall for her damsel-in-distress act for a minute! Unfortunately, Hal (Drew Roy) seems to have fallen quickly for Karen’s spun tale.

TV News: CBS Announces Fall 2012 Premiere Dates
Virtually all of CBS Network’s new and returning series will air during the network’s official premiere week, September 24-30, 2012. However, the latest in the Survivor franchise, Survivor: Phillipines, will, as usual, begin a week earlier with a special 90-minute episode on Wednesday, September 19. Sean (Stephen Mangan) can’t believe his good fortune in bedding Morning (Mircea Monroe); Matt (Matt LeBlanc) attempts to resurrect his friendship with Sean and Beverly (Tamsin Greig); and Merc’s (John Pankow) wife Jamie (Genevieve O’Reilly) continues her sexual pursuit of Matt. In the meantime, Merc’s assistant/lover Carol (Kathleen Rose Perkins) is charged with convincing a studio employee not to sue after being fired.
