Salem – “The Stone Child” Retrospective. Whoa, Mama!

In the wake of all the death and blood depicted in WGN America’s series premiere of Salem, it’s safe to say nothing much has changed in this week’s latest episode, “The Stone Child.” As the citizens of Salem continue to struggle against the dismal conditions of their times, they must also contend with the beginnings of a massive witch hunt.

Warehouse 13 – “A Faire to Remember” Recap. No Joking Around.

“A Faire to Remember” isn’t the best episode but has its moments of fun. As our agents split into various assignments, we find Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Jinks (Aaron Ashmore) investigating strange occurrences at a renaissance faire, while Myka (Joanne Kelly) helps Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) with her comatose sister Claire (guest star Chryssie Whitehead). Meanwhile, Artie (Saul Rubinek) tries to put dangerous artifacts back inside the “dark vault.”

Resurrection – “Schemes of the Devil” Retrospective. 2-1+3+1=?

Still upset over the murder of his cousin Dale, (Jason Saucier), Gary (Kevin Sizemore) is determined to learn more about those who have returned. With the help of Deputy Enders (Christopher Berry), Gary kidnaps Rachael (Kathleen Munroe) and brings her back to a remote cabin in the woods.

Is it just me or does this week’s Grimm feel…different? I mean that in a good way because it almost is different. There’s a new Grimm in town but she doesn’t quite know what she is…yet. Newcomer Jacqueline Toboni, who plays Theresa Rubel (aka Trubel/Trouble), is a fresh face, adding a new vitality to Grimm’s Portland charmingly weird beat. Making her screen debut in “Nobody Knows the Trubel I’ve Seen,” Toboni makes a lasting impression, not only with her beauty but with her ability to hold her own against seasoned actors.

Vikings – “The Choice” Recap – A Fated War: Reading isn’t only for Monks!

King Horik (Donal Logue) takes a strong stance against Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) by demanding he consults with him before making any decisions while they’re raiding the West. Horik clearly needs to feel in control and be the shot-caller in all situations but will his choices be beneficial to the Vikings? More importantly, will the gods favor the Northmen on the battlefield or has the outcome been fated?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Only Light in the Darkness” Retrospective. Return of Coulson

Dozens of inmates once held at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility nicknamed “The Fridge” are on the loose following a prison break led by HYDRA agents Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Ward (Brett Dalton). Despite being on the run, Coulson (Clark Gregg) decides it’s up to his team to bring the prisoners in. But when Coulson learns Marcus Daniels (Patrick Brennan), aka Blackout, is on the list of escapees, it no longer is just the right thing to do—now, it’s personal.

The Americans – “Martial Eagle” Review. Guilt Can Do Strange Things.

Guilt plays a large role in this week’s episode of The Americans. “Martial Eagle” is a very powerful episode, leaving you glued to the screen more than once during the 70 minutes it’s on. Things don’t go as planned for Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) at Martial Eagle, the training camp for Nicaraguans, which has a profound effect on both of them. FBI Agent Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) addresses his guilt during “Martial Eagle” as well, on top of dealing with a heartbreaking turn of events with his wife Sandra (Susan Misner). Guilt can do strange things to people, as we see in this ninth installment of The Americans.
