I have never been that big into music but recently, I have downloaded several of the songs used during Suits. “Leveraged” is no exception as the show opens with “Awake,” by Electric Guest. Watching Donna (Sara Rafferty) walk almost to the beat of the music, you feel a commanding presence oozing from her as she makes her way through Sidwell Investment Group to pay Mike (Patrick J Adams) a visit. She is a woman with a mission.

HBO received 99 Primetime Emmy® nominations, the most of any network for the 14th year in a row, for the upcoming 66th Primetime Emmy Awards®, which were announced today in Los Angeles. “Game of Thrones” led all nominees with 19 nominations, while “The Normal Heart” received 16 nominations, “True Detective” received 12 nominations and “Veep” received 9 nominations.

“My Brother’s Keeper” is another riveting episode of Tyrant. It is well written, each character is multi-faceted, and the dialogue is sharp. Each episode is more intense and more captivating than the last, making it impossible not to look forward to what’s in store down the road.

After over a decade, author Neil Gaiman’s highly acclaimed book “American Gods” will finally see the light of day onscreen. In a recent press release, Starz Network announced a script to series development of FremantleMedia North America’s (FMNA) adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed urban fantasy novel ‘American Gods.’ The pilot script will be penned by Bryan Fuller (‘Hannibal,’ ‘Pushing Daisies,’ ‘Heroes’) and Michael Green (‘The River,’ ‘Kings,’ ‘Heroes’), who will also showrun the series. They will executive produce along with Gaiman. FremantleMedia North America will produce the series.” But what makes American Gods a contender for one of the best upcoming series on television? “Thrown from the Ride” is not too different from the past two episodes, “Whirly Girly” and “Surfing the Aftershocks,” of Pretty Little Liars (PLL) to say the least. We are still looking into the girls’ lives after Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) return home. Where is all the mystery, you may ask. I’m not quite sure. What I do know is “Thrown from the Ride” is emotionally complicated.

Overall, “State of Emergency” is a good episode that delves further into character development, giving us a good look at what makes these people tick. It’s nice to see the brothers Al-Fayeed getting along so well, especially now that Bassam has decided to stay in Abbudin for the near future. I can’t wait to find out what Molly has to say about that. Will she, daughter Emma (Anne Winters), and son Sammy (Noah Silver) want to stay with Bassam, or will they leave him there and return to the States? If Sammy has anything to say about it, I’m sure he’ll opt to stay as he still has his eye on Abdul (Mehdi Dehbi). I smell trouble ahead.
