VIDEO: Inside The Strain Press Room – Cast and EPs/Writers Talk About Season 2

Attending San Diego Comic-Con isn’t for the faint of heart and neither is watching FX Networks’ drama series, The Strain. Slated for a five-season run, The Strain is based on a trilogy of graphic novels written by Chuck Hogan and Guillermo Del Toro. The books are brought to extremely vivid life in the series; if you’re not careful, you may become grossed out by some of the special effects used to create the slithering worms that spread the vampiric infection. Bear in mind, while The Strain is based on the premise of the books, as well as the characters, the show itself is an entity unto its own. Being able to interview the cast was an added bonus at this year’s Comic-Con because I was able to interview several cast members I didn’t speak with at last year’s event.

Ray Donovan – “Breakfast of Champions” Review. Lessons Learned.

While we’ve seen our fair share of intense, action-packed episodes, writer Brett Johnson takes an abrupt turn in “Breakfast of Champions” as the main players turn introspective, not only concerning themselves but their relationships within the Donovan and the Finney families.

Power – “Three Moves Ahead” Review. Everyone Has a Plan.

“Three Moves Ahead” becomes a true game changer for #Power thanks to both Angela and Kanan. Angela may be the hero now but once Sandoval finds out the truth about her “source,” she’ll be in deep doo doo, especially since she’ll be unable to produce “him.”

VIDEO: Interviews with Falling Skies Cast and Co-EP at Comic-Con

TNT’s fresh spin on the alien apocalypse genre came out of the gates full speed with its hit series Falling Skies. Since this is the final season of Falling Skies, and having attended the show’s press rooms since its inception, the interviews with the cast are quite bittersweet. I’m sure these actors will grace our screens (both big and small) in the future.

The emotional fallout from Dr. Agard’s (Christina Cole) declaration that Harvey’s (Gabriel Macht) panic attacks stem from issues with his mother and not Donna (Sarah Rafferty) continue to haunt him.

Ray Donovan – “Come and Knock on Our Door” Review. When to Sell Your Soul.

Frankly speaking, I’m bored with Mickey and Daryll’s foray into the world of drugs and sex, and miss the tension-filled interactions between Mickey and Ray. Until “Come and Knock on Our Door,” Mickey and Daryll’s story line has been nothing more than filler. Thankfully, episodic writer David Hollander changes all that with the brilliant dialogue that highlights the intensity of Mickey and Ray’s embittered relationship.

Power– “You’re Not the Man” Review. Blind Trust.

So many things happen in “You’re Not the Man,” my head is spinning. You might think so many plot points would be distracting but they’re not. Each one serves a purpose—a sort of means to an end—making this episode of Power stand out even more than the previous ones.

Video: Interviews With Cast/EPs of Grimm – A Peek Into Season 5

A baby on the way, a possible Wu-Mance, and finally learning about those darn keys – these are just a few of the things the cast and executive producers/writers talked about inside the Grimm press room as this year’s Comic-Con. Almost all the cast were present. Absent, of course, is Bitsie Tulloch who plays Juliette Siverton. If you remember, Juliette took an arrow to the heart at the end of season four, courtesy of Trubel, played by Jacqueline Toboni (also not in attendance). Check out our video interviews with Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, EPs/Writers/Director, David Giuntoli, and Russell Hornsby.

Suits – “Toe to Toe” Retrospective. Like Old Times.

Things get heated when Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) team up to take on rival lawyer and overall sleazebag, Travis Tanner (Eric Close). While Tanner swears he’s a changed man, Harvey is also different from the last time they went at it, setting up an interesting—and hopefully final—showdown.
