News/Video: Starz Releases Season 4 Teaser Trailer for <i>Outlander</i> at Screening for <i>The Spy Who Dumped Me</i> 1New York, NY. – July 30, 2018 – Starz, in association with Sony Pictures Television, released the official “Outlander” Season Four teaser trailer to a packed house of fans at a screening for the new Lionsgate film, The Spy Who Dumped Me, held at the IFC Center in New York City. The Spy Who Dumped Me, to be released August 3, 2018, tells the story of Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon), two best friends who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy. Star of both the film and “Outlander,” Sam Heughan made a surprise appearance at the event and did a Q&A before announcing the much-anticipated preview of Season Four of “Outlander.” The surprise and never-before-seen teaser was also livestreamed on the official Starz “Outlander” Facebook page.

The fourth season of “Outlander” will include 13 episodes based upon Drums of Autumn, the fourth of the eight books in Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling Outlander series. The upcoming season continues the romantic adventures of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Heughan) in America and will premiere this November 2018 on Starz. Additionally, the series has been renewed for two more seasons, taking it through season six.

The “Outlander” television series, executive produced by Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Matthew B. Roberts and Andy Harries, is inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s eight-book Outlander series that has sold an estimated 30 million copies worldwide with all the books having graced the New York Times best-sellers list. The “Outlander” television series has itself become a worldwide success with audiences, spanning the genres of history, science fiction, romance and adventure in one amazing tale.

“Outlander” is produced by Tall Ship Productions, Story Mining & Supply Company and Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Starz retains all domestic multiplatform pay TV rights to the original series.
