NBC’s Blindspot Fifth and Final Season Premiere Moved to May 7

UPDATED April 24, 2020 — NBC pushes Blindspot Season 5 premiere date to May 7 due to Parks and Recreation Reunion

April 24, 2020 — Due to the recent addition of “A Parks and Recreation Special” to the NBC schedule, the following time-slot changes have occurred:

Council of Dads” will now air its second episode on Thursday, April 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. An encore of the pilot will air an hour earlier at 9 p.m. Going forward, the series will air at 8 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 7.

Blindspot” will now premiere its fifth and final season on Thursday, May 7 at 9 p.m. and continue in that timeslot.

The fifth and final season of NBC’s “Blindspot” will premiere Thursday, April 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. MAY 7 at 9 PM E/P

April 3, 2020 — The season begins in the aftermath of the explosion that left Jane watching as a drone strike on the safe house with the rest of the team inside. Questions to be answered include who made it out alive and whether the team will ever be able to clear their names in the wake of Madeline’s rise to power.

Last season “Blindspot” averaged a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall in “live plus seven day” Nielsens, with the Oct. 12, 2018 season premiere growing a 2.0 in 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers with all digital and linear delayed viewing recorded to date.

During the 2018-19 season, “Blindspot” continued to deliver a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 118 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes) and a 113 among adults 18-49 with four or more years of college.

In its fifth and final season, “Blindspot” will take fans on an emotional, action-packed ride as the team of heroes attempts to carry out a mission with the highest stakes yet. With the team on the run, Jane and the surviving members of the former FBI taskforce will race against the clock to clear their names. Without the extensive resources that their former titles afforded them, they must find a way to stop Madeline before she can track them down and take them out once and for all. With their indestructible bond and the help of old friends, can the team pull it off in time?

The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, Ennis Esmer and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

Creator and writer Martin Gero serves as executive producer along with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
