March 23, 2021 — As announced via Marvel’s website, looks like Scarlett Johansson will finally grace our screens (large and small) as BLACK WIDOW. This film has had a revolving door of release dates thanks to the pandemic but it’s great to finally get a solid (fingers crossed) release date. While it’s still a touch-and-go situation with the pandemic and the rolling out of vaccines, many will be heading to theaters to watch films, like BLACK WIDOW, on the big screen. And then there will be others that will choose to stay inside their comfortable dwellings and pay about $30 bucks on Disney+ to get their Marvel fix.

BLACK WIDOW is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige. Along with Scarlett Johansson as as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, the film also stars Florence Pugh stars as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.

In other news, Marvel Studios also announced a new release date for SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS set to arrive on September 3, 2021. Starring Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Katy, and Michelle Yeoh and Jiang Nan. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
