TV News and Clip: Like to Be Scared? FX Wants You to "Let Them In"

I don’t know about you, but I’m scared – just from watching the “clues” FX has been sending about its new fall series, American Horror Story. So I can’t wait to watch the series which premieres Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. I mean, who doesn’t love a good thriller? Remember how scared you were when you first saw Friday the 13th or Scream? Now fans are getting a chance to be just as scared as the characters on the show, simply by letting FX in. Check it out:

American Horror Story, FX’s newest original drama series, premieres Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 PM E/T. Co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk – Glee co-creators/executive producers and Nip/Tuck producers, “American Horror Story delves into the nature of fear and the way we react to it,” says Stephanie Gibbons, EVP of Marketing & Promotion for FX.

Anticipating the psycho-sexual thriller’s premiere, FX invites fans to “let them in.” Literally. Fans register on the American Horror Story website to get a truly terrifying House Call. American Horror Story House Calls will pick a few entrants for a scary encounter without prior warning. A friend or family member will assist with the scare to make the House Call possible.

American Horror Story House Calls will be recorded with hidden cameras and posted to www.americanhorrorstoryhousecalls.com. “The House Calls are meant to be a fun way to engage the audience, but they’re also intended to make us think about what scares us and contemplate our basic reaction to fear,” says Stephanie Gibbons.
