Falling Skies – “Ghost in the Machine” Retrospective. War Rages On.
As “Ghost in the Machine” opens, we see our rag tag group from the 2nd Mass making their way toward some semblance of what they call “home,” but Charleston isn’t the same anymore and our group finds that out very quickly. The Espheni aliens have rallied their forces and are hitting back, hard. They’re using a new method to wrangle humans –large triangular staffs that emit impenetrable and lethal laser grids. So why are they gathering humans rather than destroying them? This will be the burning question presiding over the season, at least for the first few episodes.

The Last Ship is one of the best action dramas I’ve seen in a long while. This going to be a big summer hit for TNT! “Phase Six” is exciting, intense, and action packed! “Phase Six” draws you in and leaves you breathless as the USS Nathan James sets sail for the Arctic under false orders. It carries on board two scientists from the CDC, and when Commander Officer (CO) Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) learns what his true mission is, it’s a race to survive and help Dr. Rachel Scott (Rhona Mitra) find a cure for a global pandemic.

Penny Dreadful – “Possession” Review. Mother of Evil.
Viewer discretion is more than advised, it’s warranted. “Possession” lives up to its name giving us some of the darkest 59 minutes of television I’ve seen in a long while. It is not for the squeamish. “Possession” makes no apologies about the violence and vile behavior exhibited by the tortured Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) as she desperately battles against the dark forces trying to claim her for their own. “Possession” takes us on an arduous journey endured by Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton), Sembene (Danny Sapani), Victor (Harry Treadaway), and Ethan (Josh Hartnett) as they do everything they can to help save Vanessa from both herself and the demons inside her.

Some of the hottest and most talked about shows on television today revolve around supernatural entities like vampires, witches, or zombies. So, when Syfy announced last year it was going to turn the popular fantasy action movie Legion (a story about warrior angels and humans fighting in a world on the brink of an apocalypse) into a television series called Dominion, it was hardly a surprise.

Marlene King for not realizing we’re not naive enough to believe Alison was really dead. Since she’s back now, has she changed for the better? Or is she going to cause even more trouble and madness than before? Hopefully we will know by the end of the season or perhaps, even sooner. But I think having Alison back in the flesh will bring a whole lot of dynamic into the show.

Twenty years ago, in the early evening of June 17, 1994, after failing to turn himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on charges of double homicide, former football player O.J. Simpson took to the highway in a white Ford Bronco. In advance of the July 6 premiere of “The ’90s: The Last Great Decade?” the National Geographic Channel and Kelton Global today release the first results of their national survey gauging people’s attitudes toward the decade, in which 86% said they believe O.J. Simpson was guilty.
