Drop Dead Diva cast

I’ve been a fan of Drop Dead Diva (DDDsince its inception. As a matter of fact, I interviewed creator and executive producer Josh Berman during its first season when I was an Admin/Writer at another media site. He was so excited about bringing the tale of a beautiful, yet shallow, model named Deb who dies and is resurrected in the body of an overweight, brilliant attorney named Jane to TV. No one in the industry had ever done a series focusing on a full-figured female character. And what a success Drop Dead Diva turned out to be, despite being cancelled at the end of the fourth season and then renewed for a fifth.

Now, here we are, on the cusp of Drop Dead Diva’s sixth and final season, which begins with a two-hour event on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 9:00 pm ET/PT, only on Lifetime. I can’t wait to see what Berman has in store for our beloved Jane/Deb; Teri (Margaret Cho), Jane’s rock and legal assistant; Grayson (Jackson Hurst), dead Deb’s fiancé and now Jane’s co-worker; Stacy (April Bowlby), Jane’s very best friend and roomie; Kim Kaswell (Kate Levering), Jane’s boss who is now preparing for motherhood; Owen (Lex Medlin), Jane’s ex-fiancé; and last, but certainly not least, Paul (Justin Deeley), Jane’s guardian angel.
