J.K. Simmons lends his voice to an animated “Harris,” a streetwise detective whose best friends are a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Michael Key is “Dietrich,” Harris’ partner who is eager to please and impress; Patton Oswalt voices “Alan Shapiro,” a powerful lawyer whose list of clients includes a Hollywood starlet in the center of a mystery.

In episode one, “The Figgis Agency,” Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) breaks into a mansion to restore the honor of a Hollywood starlet. Archer was created by Adam Reed, who also wrote the season seven premiere.
