TV News: Get Ready For A Spell-Tacular Halloween with Freeform’s <i>13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN</i> Oct 19-31

It’s my favorite time of year…Halloween-time of course!! And one of the best servings of spooky fun is on Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family). So gather your family and friends and dive into 13 Nights of Halloween!

Freeform scares up some fun with its annual 13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN celebration, featuring programming filled with thrills and chills as you count down to Halloween. The popular programming event, now in its 18th year, kicks off on Wednesday, October 19 and concludes on Monday, October 31. It will feature the network television premiere of “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls” and the Freeform premiere of “Spooky Buddies.” Plus, the perennial favorite “Hocus Pocus.”

The Freeform app and Freeform.com are also getting into the haunting holiday spirit with a special 13 Nights of Halloween section, featuring such movies as “Halloweentown,” “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge,” “Halloweentown High,”“Return to Halloweentown High,” Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,”“R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls,” “Scooby-Doo,”“Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,” Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride,” “The Goonies,”“Practical Magic” and, for the first time on digital, “Hocus Pocus.”

 

Following is a listing of frightful programming taking place October 19 – 31 during Freeform’s
13 Nights of Halloween:

 

Night One – Wednesday, October 19
The 18th annual 13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN kicks off with the spooky classic Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (5:30 – 7:00 p.m. EDT). Next, it’s the network television premiere of “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls” (7:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT). Then, everyone’s favorite Halloween sisters from “Hocus Pocus” (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT) deliver the scares. Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT) rounds out the evening with an invitation to the creepiest wedding ever!  

 

Night Two – Thursday, October 20
Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (3:00 – 4:35 p.m. EDT) is back for another round of holiday fun, followed by the beloved Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus” (4:35 – 6:40 p.m. EDT). Then, hang out with everyone’s favorite frightening family, “The Addams Family” (6:40 – 8:50 p.m. EDT) and “Addams Family Values” (8:50 – 11:00 p.m. EDT). Finally, get to know the mother-daughter scream queen team in “The Final Girls” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Three – Friday, October 21
They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re altogether ooky, they’re “The Addams Family” (4:00 – 6:10 p.m. EDT) and “Addams Family Values” (6:10 – 8:20 p.m. EDT). Then, try to outrun the Headless Horseman terrorizing the town of “Sleepy Hollow” (8:20 – 11:00 p.m. EDT). Stay up late for extra chills with “Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Four – Saturday, October 22
The day of Halloween hijinks kicks off with the Freeform premiere of “Spooky Buddies” (7:00 – 9:10 a.m. EDT). Then it’s “ParaNorman“ (9:10 – 11:20 a.m. EDT), followed by “Sleepy Hollow” (11:20 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EDT). Always remember, “The Goonies” (2:00 – 4:40 p.m. EDT) are good enough. Later, grab some Rooby Racks and catch a double feature of “Scooby-Doo” (4:40 – 6:50 p.m. EDT) and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” (6:50 – 9:00 p.m. EDT). Enroll with Mike and Sulley in Disney∙Pixar’s “Monsters University” (9:00 – 11:30 p.m. EDT), and stay to watch Buzz, Woody and all your favorite toys work together to track down their missing friend in Disney∙Pixar’s “Toy Story of TERROR!” (11:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. EDT). Cap off your day of thrills with a walk down the aisle with Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Five – Sunday, October 23
Cuddle under the covers while watching “The Goonies” (7:30 – 10:10 a.m. EDT). Then, revisit “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls” (10:10 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. EDT). Next, see if you can help the meddling kids solve mysteries in “Scooby-Doo” (12:20 – 2:30 p.m. EDT) and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” (2:30 – 4:40 p.m. EDT). Catch the story of a magical little girl in Matilda (4:40 – 6:50 p.m. EDT). Later, hang with Woody and Buzz in Disney∙Pixar’s “Toy Story of TERROR!” (6:50 – 7:20 p.m. EDT). Scare yourself silly with Disney∙Pixar’s “Monsters University,(7:20 – 9:50 p.m. EDT). Finish your night with the Sanderson Sisters in “Hocus Pocus” (9:50 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Six – Monday, October 24
Fall in love – at your own risk – with the Owens sisters in “Practical Magic” (7:00 – 9:00 a.m. EDT). Later, check in with magical Matilda (2:30 – 4:35 p.m. EDT). Spend some time with Gomez, Morticia and the rest of “The Addams Family” (4:35 – 6:40 p.m. EDT) and learn some “Addams Family Values” (6:40 – 8:50 p.m. EDT). Enjoy a bit of “Hocus Pocus” (8:50 – 11:00 p.m. EDT) and end your night with some hilarious hi-jinkies in “Scooby-Doo” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Seven – Tuesday, October 25
It’s a love triangle to end all love triangles in ”Death Becomes Her” (7:00 – 9:00 a.m. EDT). Then, hang with Uncle Fester and “The Addams Family” (4:00 – 6:00 p.m. EDT), followed by “Addams Family Values” (6:00 – 8:00 p.m. EDT). Finish off the night with “Halloweentown” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Eight – Wednesday, October 26
Learn some new tricks with “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (3:30 – 5:40 p.m. EDT). Then, Barnabas Collins returns from the dead in “Dark Shadows” (5:40 – 8:20 p.m. EDT). Next, don’t lose your head in “Sleepy Hollow” (8:20 – 11:00 p.m. EDT). Finally, it’s “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Nine – Thursday, October 27
Join Chunk in “The Goonies” (3:30 – 6:10 p.m. EDT) and Ichabod Crane in “Sleepy Hollow” (6:10 – 8:50 p.m. EDT). Then, mix up some mischief with “Hocus Pocus” (8:50 – 11:00 p.m. EDT). End your day attending “Halloweentown High” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Ten – Friday, October 28
On frightful Friday, go treasure hunting with “The Goonies” (12:00 – 2:40 p.m. EDT) and say “I Do” to “Corpse Bride” (2:40 – 4:40 p.m. EDT). Then, practice some “Hocus Pocus” (4:40 – 6:45 p.m. EDT) and hang out with Jack and the gang in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (6:45 – 8:20 p.m. EDT). Later, hide in the “Dark Shadows” (8:20 – 11:00 p.m. EDT). Round out the night with “Return to Halloweentown” (12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Eleven – Saturday, October 29
Sit, stay and catch “Frankenweenie” (7:00 – 9:00 a.m. EDT) and “R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls” (9:00 – 11:00 a.m. EDT). Next up, take a trip to Halloweentown in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (11:00 a.m. – 12:35 p.m. EDT). Who says love is dead? Certainly not “Corpse Bride” (12:35 – 2:35 p.m. EDT). What lurks in The “Dark Shadows” (2:35 – 5:15 p.m. EDT). Later, spend time some with Uncle Fester and Cousin It in “The Addams Family” (5:15 – 7:20 p.m. EDT) and “Addams Family Values” (7:20 – 9:25 p.m. EDT). Mix up a potion with some “Hocus Pocus” (9:25 – 11:30 p.m. EDT) and cap off the night with one more Tim Burton classic, “Sleepy Hollow” (11:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Twelve – Sunday, October 30
Hang out with “ParaNorman” (7:00 – 9:00 a.m. EDT) before going on an extraordinary adventure with the pups of “Spooky Buddies” (9:00 – 11:05 a.m. EDT). Then, it’s a double feature of everyone’s favorite hungry hound “Scooby-Doo” (11:05 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. EDT) and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” (1:10 – 3:15 p.m. EDT). Let Lurch show you inside the home of “The Addams Family” (3:15 – 5:20 p.m. EDT) and brush up on your “Addams Family Values” (5:20 – 7:25 p.m. EDT). Watch out for those witchy sisters in “Hocus Pocus” (7:25 – 9:30 p.m. EDT). Stay up if you dare for “Sleepy Hollow” (9:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. EDT).

 

Night Thirteen – Monday, October 31

All Hallows Eve is upon us and promises to bring with it a day full of ghosts, witches and monsters. The day kicks off with “The Goonies” (7:00 – 9:30 a.m. EDT). Then, watch “ParaNorman” (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. EDT) fight off ghosts and zombies. Next, it’s your last chance to catch “Scooby-Doo” (1:00– 3:00 p.m. EDT) and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” (3:00 – 5:00 p.m. EDT) before saying goodbye to “The Addams Family” (5:00 – 7:00 p.m. EDT) and “Addams Family Values” (7:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT). Wrap up 13 Nights of chills with back to back airings of “Hocus Pocus” (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT, and 12:00 – 2:00 a.m. EDT).
