SYFY announced a second season pickup of KRYPTON, the untold Superman story based on DC characters from Warner Horizon Scripted Television. KRYPTON is set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet. The series follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather, as a young man who is faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed to restore the fate of his future grandson.

SHOWTIME will present the television premiere of the documentary LOVE MEANS ZERO, which tells the story of celebrated yet controversial tennis coach Nick Bollettieri and explores the cost of his all-consuming drive for greatness, on Saturday, June 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. HBO has renewed the late-night series WYATT CENAC’S PROBLEM AREAS for a second season. The ten-episode first season of WYATT CENAC’S PROBLEM AREAS debuted Friday, April 13. Helmed by the Emmy® and WGA Award-winning comedian and writer, the series covers a wide range of social and cultural issues, ranging from the trivial to the impactful. With an eye toward solutions, the lighter topics include: moving millennials into battleships, NRA propaganda at the movies, banking deserts, student loans and powering the world with human waste.

FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has announced a first-look deal with Bob Cooper’s Landscape Entertainment. Under the pact, Landscape Entertainment will develop and produce scripted projects for the U.S. and international markets.
The first project in development through this new partnership is a scripted drama centered on Michelangelo, written by award-winning South African-British author, Richard Mason. With Hulu on board to serve as the home for Michelangelo, the series will detail the life of the brilliant and troubled artist, told through a modern lens that delves into the sexuality, relationships, alliances and betrayals in the volatile world of 16th Century Florence.

HBO and Sky announced THE CASE AGAINST ADNAN SYED, a four-hour documentary series directed by Academy Award® nominee Amy Berg (“Deliver Us from Evil,” “West of Memphis”).
