Movie Review: Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle – Visually Stunning and Entertaining But Missing Something.
lthough the novel, “The Jungle Book,” has been made and remade into a movie many times over, what Andy Serkis does in Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle is both captivating and visually appealing. The live action between man and animal is enchanting. Newcomer Rohan Chand is brilliant as the “man-cub” Mowgli. His seamless interaction with all the animals of the jungle is outstanding. While I did enjoy the story, I felt something was lacking throughout the movie. I still can’t pinpoint what that missing ingredient is but I will say, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle does leave an impression.

Video/News: Disney Channel’s Daughter/Father Comedy Sydney to the Max Premieres Jan25
A heartwarming and sentimental comedy, “Sydney to the Max” centers around the experiences of a sociable, goodhearted middle schooler named Sydney Reynolds and her protective, doting – and sometimes clueless! – single dad Max as they navigate the challenges of growing up. Set during two timeframes, decades apart, flashback scenes to young Max and his best friend Leo in the 1990s parallel many of the funny predicaments Sydney and her BFF Olive get themselves into. VHS camcorders, bleached skater hair and other ’90s-defining “relics” aside, Sydney and Max come to realize, aided by Sydney’s kicky grandmother Judy, who’s well-versed in Max’s childhood antics, that they have more in common than either realizes.
