Review: The Vampire Diaries “The Reckoning” (Who’s Afraid of the Big, Bad Vampire Hunter? Klaus, That’s Who.)

The cliffhanger endings are major! I don’t even know what to say about what’s to come, just know that it will probably be something that we’ve never seen before. If I wasn’t hooked on The Vampire Diaries before, you can best believe it’s become my new obsession.

Movie Review: ‘Father of Invention’ Starring Kevin Spacey & Craig Robinson (Fabricating and “Tap That Ass”)

Father of Invention is charming, entertaining, and absolutely hilarious! Spacey does a brilliant job of playing a down trodden, yet arrogant man. Surprised at how much I laughed throughout the film. Robinson is fantastic as Jerry! The song Robinson and Madsen perform at the end titled “Tap That Ass” still has me laughing my ass off.

Book Review: “Little Bee” by Chris Cleave

I liked the book, but I didn’t love it and I definitely won’t be reading it again. I think it’s missing a few key things, like a resolution to the plot and characters I could sink my teeth into. It’s not so much that they are two dimensional, but the believability of the situations they end up in is just unrealistic.

Murder, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night! REVIEW: American Horror Story “Home Invasion” #ahsfx

Murder, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night. “Home Invasion” isn’t for the squeamish or faint of heart. ‘American Horror Story’ continues to challenge conventional storytelling in television. It’s an awesome, dark, edgy, creepy, decadent, and deeply engrossing series! I cannot take my eyes off the screen and I turn up the volume to hear every creak on the wooden floor!

Russian Roulette; Charming, CA ain’t Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. REVIEW: Sons of Anarchy “With an X” #SAMCRO #SOAFX

YES! Now we’re getting back to why I fell in love with Sons of Anarchy – cutthroat, ruthless backstabbing and downright devious underhanded deeds. This is a show about the seedy lives of biker gangs/clubs not Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. I don’t give a rat’s ass about their softer side. Russian Roulette with the Prospects; Daddy Tig plays the sucker; and Clay orders a hit on the good doctor. “With an X” heats things up!

“RCVR,” set in 1973, follows a black-ops unit engaged in covering up extraterrestrial encounters and locating individuals (RCVRs) who possess startling information communicated to them by alien beings. The first season, based on alleged true events, takes place in rural Arkansas.

Review: Hung “Take the Cake or Are You Packing” (Handcuffs, House Arrest, and a Girlfight)

As “Take the Cake or Are You Packing?” opens, a hypnotizing rhythm bounces from wall to wall of the night club Ray walks into. You kind of get the feeling something unusual is going to happen and it does.

Nightmares, Nazir and a Naked Women. Review: Homeland – “Grace”

Some shows with a lot of intrigue lose their way. I’m happy to say so far, Homeland isn’t one of them. As “Grace” opens, Sgt. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) is having an extremely difficult time dealing with his traumatic memories, having nightmare after nightmare. CIA Agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is completely wrapped up with proving her theory that Brody was turned while in captivity, to the point where she’s becoming obsessive about it. She may be right, though, when she learns from an undercover operative that terrorist Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban) has resurfaced after years of lying low.

Eating brains, watching telenovelas, and human cheese-flavored snacks? Review: #Supernatural “The Girl Next Door”

Who knew Dean and Bobby liked telenovelas? And I’m not sure what grosses me out more – the “kitsunai” who eat human brains to survive or a Leviathan (Sean Owen Roberts) who like people smothered in cheese sauce? “Do you know what I find…plain ole people taste fine but everything is better with cheese.”

Review: The Vampire Diaries “Disturbing Behavior” (Katherine to the Rescue!)

What a spectacular episode. I think the show just gets better and better with each new season.

What Happens When You Follow a Mysterious Blonde. Advance Review: Bored to Death – “The Blonde in the Woods”

The season premiere of “Bored to Death” is funny and thoroughly enjoyable. The dialogue alone is enough to make me laugh, but the best part of the show is the fantastic chemistry among the three main stars. They play off each other beautifully. If you’re a fan of film noir, you won’t want to miss the new season of Bored to Death.

Movie Review: REAL STEEL – Suprisingly endearing and entertaining! It has heart, action, & comedy

Forget what you think this movie is about. Yes, there are robots and yes, there is boxing. But it’s not rock’em-sock’em robots. It is so much more than that. “Real Steel” is surprisingly endearing and entertaining. It has heart, action, comedy, and drama. The wonderful part about Real Steel is that the robots are real! Yes, real robots!

A Dysfunctional Woman, A Disapproving Mother & a Druggie Ex-Husband. Advance Review: HBO’s “#Enlightened” Series Premiere

Why should you watch Enlightened? Well, it’s nothing like some of the other series based on flawed women…There is plenty of sharp, intuitive, witty writing, fantastic acting and storylines that will bring you back week after week as you wait to see what Amy gets herself into next.

Book Review: “The Last Werewolf” by Glen Duncan

I was sad to reach the end of this tale. Not only because of the ending (which is a bit predictable), but the need to know what happens next just won’t go away. I’ve read other books with werewolves in them, but none like this.

Cooking the Books and A Baby Funeral. Review: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – “Sweet Dee Gets Audited”

I am so disappointed. After laughing uproariously during the first three episodes of Sunny’s Season 7, I barely squeaked out a ‘Hah’ while watching “Sweet Dee Gets Audited.” Instead of the usual sharp, witty writing, there is only idiotic ridiculousness.
