“A Little Night Music” is a good episode, with plenty of intrigue at the end. The fight scene is extremely well choreographed, and the dialogue throughout sharp and particularly believable. Things don’t go as easily for the Jennings in “A Little Night Music” as they’ve gone in the past. This may be the first time The Americans leaves us with such a surprising cliffhanger at the end of an episode. Were you as shocked by what happens as I was?

The Whole Half. Review: Justified – “Weight”
Finally! After a few mediocre episodes, Justified finally pulls a rabbit out the old Stetson with “Weight.” This episode is jam-packed with twists, turns, and eye-popping surprises I didn’t see coming. From an old friend (or enemy, depending on who you are) wheeling into a family feud that’s been brewing since the beginning, “Weight” holds no punches in the violence department. Will these surprises be another anchor weighing Justified down or the invigoration it needs? Either way, I’m along for the ride.

All Wrapped Up. Review: Grimm – “Once We Were Gods”
I’ve been fascinated with Egyptian legends and mummies since I was a little girl. One of my writing idols is Agatha Christie, who married an archeologist and lived in Egypt for some time. When I realized “Once We Were Gods” had an Egyptian theme, I was extremely excited. While there are a few areas that are lacking, overall, “Once We Were Gods” doesn’t disappoint. It’s chock full of mystery and intrigue, including an Anubis sarcophagus, new Wesen and folklore, and the forced betrayal I knew was going to happen.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2014, I had the distinct pleasure of once again interviewing Josh Berman, creator, writer, and executive producer of Lifetime’s hit series, Drop Dead Diva. He is such a sincere and personable man, it felt like I was speaking with my best friend. He even gave me his personal email address! (I’m not giving it out so don’t ask!) We reminisced about the award-winning series, his favorite story arc, what to expect in season six, and yes, whether this truly will be the final season.

Martyrdom and Vengeance. Recap: Vikings – “Treachery”
The Vikings have made it west with high expectations of riches and adventures. Just as the episode title hints, loyalties will be tested.

Gumption and A-holes. Review: Justified – “Wrong Roads”
“Wrong Roads” isn’t a filler episode like “Whistle Past the Graveyard,” but it isn’t a great episode either. While “Wrong Roads” gives us some closure on a storyline or two, it drags out other storylines, making me roll my eyes with exasperation. I see some double crosses coming across the Mexican border in the form of the Crowes. But one of them surprises me by finally getting the gumption to do something drastic to remedy his situation. Way to go, Dewey (Damon Herriman)!
