FBI Agent Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) addresses his guilt during “Martial Eagle” as well, on top of dealing with a heartbreaking turn of events with his wife Sandra (Susan Misner). Guilt can do strange things to people, as we see in this ninth installment of The Americans.

Myka wishes she could “poof” away too, especially when Pete (Eddie McClintock) offers to be her platonic sperm donor. What? He says they can do it without having sex…you know, with “ice cube trays and turkey basters,” but I think these two partners in crime may have deeper feelings for each other than they realize. Remember, Pete was willing to use artifacts to save Myka when he thought she had cancer.

It has been years since I saw the film Fargo and the only things I really remember about it is a scene that took place at the parking ramp of the church I attended — the infamous wood chipper scene — and, of course, the so-called Minnesota accents. When FX sent me screeners of the first four episodes of Fargo, I decided to re-watch the film first to refresh my memory. The series isn’t a remake or a reboot of the movie, and it’s not necessary to see the movie to follow the series.

As a weekly reviewer and huge fan of FX’s The Americans, I was thrilled to learn the critically acclaimed series has been renewed for a 13-episode third season. There are six episodes remaining this season, which will now air on Wednesdays at 10 pm ET/PT, only on FX.
