The Walking Dead – “Slabtown” Review. The Greater Good.

“Slabtown” is enjoyable even though the walker presence is close to nonexistent. The writers show us just what it means to never let your guard down.

Sleepy Hollow – “Deliverance” Recap. The Horrid King.

“Deliverance” wastes no time jumping into the nightmare awaiting Katrina (Katia Winter) after the spider Henry (John Noble) created crawls into her mouth. This is no ordinary spider – it’s a seed, demon seed to be exact and Katrina is the “vessel” in which it will grow.

The Blacklist – “The Scimitar” Retrospective. Not My Daughter.

After learning that Iran’s top nuclear scientist Kian Nouri (Ryan Shams) fell from a 12-story hotel balcony in Dubai, thanks to a joint CIA/Mossad operation, Reddington (James Spader) alerts Agent Keen (Megan Boone) that a killer named Scimitar (Waleed Zuaiter) is out for revenge. The Affair – “104” Review. The Web We Weave.

“104” is the most honest episode of The Affair to date. It pulls no punches in furthering Alison and Noah’s story line. “104” takes The Affair from being the tale of a sordid affair to the genesis of a true love story.

Homeland – “From A to B and Back Again” Review. Trust No One but Yourself.

Oh. My. God. Or, as Quinn (Rupert Friend) puts it, “Holy fuck!” What a game changer this week’s installment of Homeland is! I cannot believe what I just watched. Episodic writer Chip Johannessen doesn’t pull any punches with “From A to B and Back Again.”

The Vampire Diaries – “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” Review. Corn-Mazing!

I have high hopes the season will get its mojo working, getting TVD back to the show I know it can be.

As the conclusion of the two-part story of infamous carny legend Edward Mordrake (Wes Bentley), “Edward Mordrake (Part 2)” pulls out all the stops, taking viewers further down a murky path with a sinister phantom as their guide.

The Blacklist – “The Mombasa Cartel” Review. Suit of Skin.

The next group on Reddington’s (James Spader) list for Agent Keen (Megan Boone) and the FBI to look into is the Mombasa Cartel, a ruthless organization that makes billions poaching animals. The focus shifts when skinless bodies of cartel members start washing up on shore. When all signs point to a disbanded Alaskan animal rights group known as the Animal Underground Network, Agent Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) is sent to investigate.

Showtime’s Programming Overview for 2014-15 TV Season

I love the winter season of TV shows on Showtime. There’s Shameless, House of Lies, Episodes, and Web Therapy, to name a few of the returning series for 2015. Below are the premiere dates for these highly popular series, as well as Showtime’s upcoming comedy and documentary specials for late fall 2014.

The Walking Dead – “Four Walls and a Roof” Review. The Katana Has Returned.

Guess there’s nothing left to say but damn. I’m still in awe of what happens in “Four Walls and a Roof.” It has probably pushed the season five premiere out of the top spot for me.

The Affair – “103” Review. A Man in Charge.

This week’s installment of The Affair doesn’t further Noah (Dominic West) and Alison’s (Ruth Wilson) affair much although it does examine their relationship at this point of Detective Jeffries’ (Victor Williams) questioning. Instead, it delves into the history of a long-standing feud between the Solloway and Hodge families. Oscar Hodge (Darren Goldstein), Alison’s boss at The Lobster Roll, doesn’t particularly care for Alison’s husband Cole (Joshua Jackson), and “103” provides some insight into why.
