Sleepy Hollow – “Awakening” Recap. Witchy Bells and Time Travel.

Finally! The intensity and drama I’ve been longing for in Sleepy Hollow are in abundance throughout “Awakening.” The plot twists are intriguing and undoubtedly will change the course of the history that’s been woven since season one.

Shameless – “Crazy Love” Retrospective. Dilemmas Galore.

Writer John Wells has obviously done his homework to provide such an in-depth look at bi-polar disorder in the aptly titled “Crazy Love.” Cameron Monaghan has too as he steals every scene he’s in. It is incredibly heartbreaking to watch as Ian says goodbye to his loved ones before entering a treatment facility.

Black Sails – “XII” Retrospective. War Games

In the aftermath of Captain James Flint’s (Toby Stephens) return to Nassau, “XII” explores the imminent danger Flint poses for everyone in New Providence as Captain Charles Vane (Zach McGowan) refuses to relinquish power.

Movie Review: The Rewrite – Surprisingly Funny and Unabashedly Charming

The Rewrite is unabashedly charming. The humor is done perfectly without being too sarcastic or constantly in your face. I re-fell in love with Grant while watching The Rewrite. This film is an absolute delight for those who love a good romantic comedy. I found myself becoming sad as the ending drew near because I simply didn’t want The Rewrite to end. In little more than an hour and a half, I fell in love with the quaint town of Binghamton, NY and the students attending Binghamton University. Well, almost all the students.

Suits – “Fork in the Road” Review. Team Player.

I’ve never been a fan of flashback episodes because they always seem like an easy way for writers to provide a backstory or fill plot holes they previously missed.

Conference Call Transcript – Annet Mahendru Talks About Her Role as Nina on The Americans

I love participating in and reading the transcripts of conference calls with my favorite actors. Annet Mahendru is no exception as she provides great insight into Nina, the Russian spy character she plays on FX’s critically acclaimed series, #TheAmericans.

The Americans – “Open House” Retrospective.

Director Thomas Schlamme knows exactly how to convey emotions without a single word of dialogue. First, with “The Star Spangled Banner” playing in the background, Schlamme uses a tender kiss to portray the love the Jennings have for each other. Then, in a rather squeamish scene where Philip deals with Elizabeth’s dental problem, the camera darts back and forth between Philip and Elizabeth’s eyes, conveying the trust and love between them. This is direction at its best.

The Goldbergs – “Cowboy Country” Retrospective. Walk Like a Man.

Realizing he’s a late bloomer, Adam (Sean Giambrone) decides to take action in an effort to speed up his puberty process.

Castle – “Resurrection” Recap. Serious Mommy Issues or Just Demented?

As a Castle fan, I enjoyed last night’s “Resurrection” which brings back an old case and the return of two devious minds – renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Kelly Nieman (guest star Annie Wersching) and serial killer Jerry Tyson (Michael Mosley), aka “3XK.” But is it really Jerry Tyson? We saw Castle (Nathan Fillion) pump him full of lead and him falling off the edge of a pier into the murky waters below in “3XK?” Don’t believe everything you see or hear because things are about to get crazy up in here.

Sleepy Hollow – “What Lies Beneath” Recap. Still Waiting For the Intensity.

“What Lies Beneath” falls a bit flat after all is said and done. Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) must find out what happened to three surveyors after they go missing from deep inside the tunnels beneath Sleepy Hollow. But Ichabod and Abbie are being tailed by one of the missing men’s brother, Calvin Riggs (guest star Sharif Atkins), who happens to be a journalist.

– “Rule No. 46: Keep the Holidays Low Key”

Ghosts are front and center in this week’s installment of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (#GG2D). So is the realization of what family means for more than one character. We are also witness to a rather volatile Thanksgiving celebration in “Rule No. 46: Keep the Holidays Low Key” (“Rule 46”) that teaches a lesson to more than one person.

The Walking Dead – “What Happened and What’s Going On” Review. Someone Becomes a Chew Toy.

Make no mistake about it, the second season of Black Sails isn’t just about taking what’s yours, but the dividing lines for an all-out war.

Shameless – “Rite of Passage” Retrospective. Reality Can Be a Bitch.

Generally speaking, “Rite of Passage” is a very entertaining episode. Writer Etan Frankel does a good job with the dialogue, especially between Fiona and Gus, Fiona and Lip, and Frank and Laura. I also enjoy how much Debbie and Carl are connecting, working together on their various schemes.

We all have that little voice in our heads that tells us to do good or bad things. The Voices takes that concept to a whole other level…
