While I enjoyed “Consequences,” it’s not an overly exciting season premiere; I was hoping to be sitting on the edge of my seat but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. What “Consequences” does, however, is set up some exciting story lines for season two.

Penny Dreadful – “Above the Vaulted Sky” Review. Afraid of the Dark.
Pardon me while I take a very cold shower. The arousing ending to “Above the Vaulted Sky” almost makes you forget what happens at the beginning of the episode…almost. There be wicked deeds and “tenacious” activities going on in merry old London. As our adventurers, Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Vanessa (Eva Green), Ethan (Josh Hartnett), Sembene (Danny Sapani), Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway), and Ferdinand Lyle (Simon Russell Beale) shore up Sir Malcolm’s residence to reinforce it against a future attack by the witches, using any and all means necessary, the vivaciously deceptive Evelyn Poole (Helen McCrory) toys with her dolls.

Bitten – “Dark Arts” Review. More Unfinished Business.
If something looks too good to be true, it’s because usually it is. So, it doesn’t surprise me to learn Aleister’s (Sean Rogerson) story line is far from over after the events in “Bad Dreams.” In “Dark Arts,” Aleister returns with a vengeance; but like most things involving the homicidal warlock, there’s a catch.

Exciting News from USA Network for Fans of Chrisley Knows Best
Like many others, I’ve been a fan of Chrisley Know Best since its first episode on March 11, 2014. I’ve enjoyed all of the family’s antics, learned many parenting lessons from the family’s patriarch, Todd Chrisley, and laughed a lot along the way. Now comes some exciting news from USA, particularly for the show’s fans, involving the popular video messaging app, Dubsmash. Season three premieres Tuesday, June 2 at 9/8c with two back-to-back episodes.

The puzzle begins to take a dark shape as our clever curator Ferdinand Lyle (Simon Russell Beale), along with Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), piece together the cryptic curios retrieved from the depths of the British Museum in “Verbis Diablo.” With the urgent warning about Lucifer given to Vanessa (Eva Green) by the Cut Wife/Joan Clayton (guest star Patti LuPone) in “The Nightcomers,” the more the scribbles of a mad monk make sense. “Evil Spirits in Heavenly Places” finds the witches circling their prey, but with a wolf protecting Vanessa, will they be able to strike?

Bitten – “Bad Dreams” Retrospective. What Dreams May Come.
The second season of Bitten continues to impress me with its many surprise endings and attention to detail. The werewolf series doesn’t hold back with its weekly gore, sex, and drama. “Bad Dreams” appears to be no exception until the attention switches to the growing relationship between Nick (Steven Lund) and Paige (Tommie Amber Pirie).
