Syfy’s highly-anticipated 10-hour series The Expanse will debut its first episode Monday, November 23 on a variety of VOD, TV Everywhere and digital platforms, three weeks ahead of its linear debut on the network. The series premieres on Syfy with a two-night premiere Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10PM ET/PT, and continues on Tuesdays at 10PM for the remainder of the season. Set 200 years in the future, The Expanse follows the case of a missing young woman that brings a hardened detective (Thomas Jane, Hung) and a rogue ship’s captain (Steven Strait, Magic City) together in a race across the solar system that will expose the greatest conspiracy in human history. Strange occurrences keep happening in the library in “And the Broken Staff” and Jenkins (John Larroquette) remains mum on the situation. I’m sure he has a grand idea that will fix it all…right? Then again, the way the library returned last season from the void has caused things to go out of whack. If you recall from season one, Flynn used blood in the story book to reopen the library’s doors. What happened to the library while it was in the void?

Our trusted librarians, well, most of them, return for a second season of wondrous adventures but this time, magic has returned and with it, mayhem and confusion galore. Our librarians – Jake Stone aka “Stone” (Christian Kane), Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth), Ezekiel Jones aka “Jones” (John Kim), and Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle) – along with their guardian Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), have their work cut out for them as they battle the forces of evil while dealing with their own personal issues. Oh, and the Library is acting strangely. No biggie.

The writing, Williams’ direction, and acting by both Lynch and James makes “Here Not Here” one of the best episodes of the season. It moves at a slower pace yet doesn’t feel sluggish at all.

A new Smithsonian Channel one-hour special recounts the final days of Adolf Hitler, told in the words of those who were with him. A trove of rediscovered interviews with the Nazi leader’s inner-circle, who surrounded Hitler in his bunker as his enemies closed in, are the centerpiece of THE DAY HITLER DIED, premiering Monday, November 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. These tapes, thought to be lost to history, were found in an archive in Pittsburgh in 2013.
