The Walking Dead comes back from last week’s super sucky episode “Now” with a better filler episode in “Always Accountable.”

Grimm – “Lost Boys” Review. Smothered Love.
There is no shortage of mommy issues on Grimm. Whether it is some twisted Aswang tradition of consuming a son’s firstborn, or finding out your mother isn’t dead like you thought, the writers really know how to contort the notion of a mother’s love. “Lost Boys” takes us on a sad and perplexing journey with four orphaned children on the run, desperately seeking a mother’s love, even if the love isn’t given willingly. Buried in the subset of “Lost Boys” lies the ongoing saga of the Wesen uprising and the meaning of “Occultatum Libera” becomes much more significant.

American Horror Story: Hotel – “Room 33” Review. Here Be Monsters.
American Horror Story: Hotel (AHS: Hotel) picks up the pace this week in “Room 33” with several intriguing flashback sequences and critical plot points revolving around the power of the Hotel Cortez. Unfortunately, it’s too little, too late at this point of the season; the attention to sensationalized gore and violence take away from the character development within the story lines.

Trailer: RACING EXTINCTION Premieres Dec. 2 on Discovery Channel
Scientists predict that the human footprint on the planet may cause the loss of half of the world’s species by the end of the century. They believe we have entered the sixth major extinction in Earth’s history, following the fifth great extinction which took out the dinosaurs. Our era is called the Anthropocene, or “Age of Man,” because evidence shows that humanity has sparked a cataclysmic change of the world’s natural environment and animal life. Yet, we are the only ones who can stop the change we have created.

NBC Renews Freshman Drama Series Blindspot for a Second Season
Blindspot has quickly become one of my favorite TV shows this fall, and for good reason. It is chock full of suspense, intrigue, riveting story lines and dialogue, and terrific acting, especially by its stars Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander. So it comes as no surprise to me that NBC has decided to renew the freshman series for a second season.
