Outlander –“Not in Scotland Anymore” Review. That Red Dress Though…

Again, the storyliine in “Not in Scotland Anymore” leaves a bit to be desired as the political intrigue can be confusing. I found myself distracted by the beauty and extravagance of the costumes and locales, more so than the introduction of Prince Charles Edward Stuart and the sleazy Duke of Sandringham.

Grimm – “Inugami” Review. Ultimate Guard Dog.

The quote in this week’s Grimm is a variation of author Samuel Johnson’s quote, “Revenge is an act of passion; vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged.” This fits perfectly with the theme of this week’s Grimm episode, “Inuagmi,” as we meet a Japanese Wesen of the same name. In Japanese, Inugami translates to “dog god.”

While I’m not blown away by “Through A Glass, Darkly” as a season premiere, I understand the need for a low impact episode.

Grimm – “The Believer” Review. Exorcise Your Demons.

There is something to be said about traveling preachers spreading the good word. Grimm’s latest episode, “The Believer,” introduces us to a so-called “tent” minister who goes from town to town, setting up his white tent, and preaching about “Satan” and such. VIDEO: Interviews with SLEEPY HOLLOW Cast and Executive Producer at WonderCon 2016

Having the opportunity to speak with some of the Sleepy Hollow cast at this year’s WonderCon was a treat and this year I got to speak to Nikki Reed, Jessica Camacho, executive producer Clifton Campbell, Zach Appelman, and Lyndie Greenwood. These cast members were optimal as each of their story arcs are quite interesting and three of them are new(er) to this third season. Nikki Reed, who plays the iconic Betsy Ross, and Jessica Camacho, who plays FBI Agent Sophie Foster, are both new characters this season; Zach Appelman returns as Joe Corbin and spreads his proverbial wings when he gets more involved in the supernatural realm that Ichabod, Abbie, and Jenny have all been immersed in. Appelman’s character Joe also explores a new relationship with Greenwood’s closed off Jenny Mills.

VIDEO: Interviews with THE 100 Cast and Series Creator at Wondercon 2016

Check out the interviews with The 100 cast members including Bob Morley who plays Bellamy Blake, Richard Harmon who plays John Murphy, Christopher Larkin who plays Monty Green, Devon Bostick who plays Jasper Jordan, Eliza Taylor who plays Clarke Griffin, series creator/writer/executive producer Jason Rothenberg, and Lindsey Morgan who plays Raven Reyes.
Despite the numerous times I’ve conducted round table interviews, I always have a touch of nerves when asking questions. Thankfully, each cast member and Rothenberg were absolutely delightful to talk to. I could listen to Morley and Taylor talk all day with their awesome Aussie accents. Larkin is quite funny and he mentioned how he varies from his character Monty in that he isn’t so tech savvy showing us his flip phone…yes, a flip phone.
