Penny Dreadful – “Good and Evil Braided Be” Review. Ulterior Motives.

The title of this episode, “Good and Evil Braided Be,” befits the content. There is light and dark, good and not so good, mingled throughout; however, the tone of “Good and Evil Braided Be” rings more of a filler episode, giving us background on a few characters and providing tidbits of what’s to come. If you are squeamish about blood, there is a scene or two that may cause you a little discomfort.

FX Networks has set the premiere dates for the highly-anticipated third seasons of The Strain and You’re the Worst.
The Strain returns to FX with a 10-episode season on Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT starting August 28. You’re the Worst is back for 13 episodes on FXX on Wednesdays at 10 PM ET/PT beginning August 31.

Starz announced that Michelle Fairley (“Game of Thrones,” “Rebellion”) will play the role of Margaret Beaufort in “The White Princess,” the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed STARZ Original Miniseries event “The White Queen,” from Company Pictures. Up-and-coming actress, Jodie Comer (“Doctor Foster,” My Mad Fat Diary”) also joins the cast as Princess Elizabeth of York. Adapted from Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novel of the same name and part of The Cousins’ War book series, “The White Princess” tells the story of England’s War of the Roses from the perspective of the women.
