“Running Wild with Bear Grylls” is returning to take A-list celebrities on adventures of a lifetime when the series returns Monday, Aug. 1 (10-11p.m. ET) with actress and Emmy Award-winning choreographer Julianne Hough and Tuesday, Aug. 2 with triple-platinum recording artist and actor Nick Jonas (10-11p.m. ET). The series will follow summer hits “American Ninja Warrior” on Monday and “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday.

FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year’s most anticipated new comedy series, Atlanta and Better Things, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning American Horror Story for its sixth installment, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Atlanta, a half-hour comedy series created by and starring Donald Glover, will premiere on FX on September 6, followed two days later by Better Things, a half-hour comedy series co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. and starring Adlon. Then on September 14, the as-yet-untitled sixth installment of the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning limited series American Horror Story returns from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Syfy has renewed its critically acclaimed drama series #12MONKEYS for a 10-episode Season 3 order, with new episodes expected to air in 2017. 12 Monkeys follows the journey of James Cole, a man from 2043 sent back in time to stop a malevolent organization known as the Army of the 12 Monkeys from destroying the world. Drummer Stewart Copeland of The Police is on a mission to soak up all the sun, fun and adventure the island paradise of Bali has to offer in Travel Channel’s “Island Fever,” premiering on Saturday, July 9 at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT. “You discover the rhythm of a place through the eyes of the locals,” said Copeland. AMC announced that it has renewed its cinematic and critically acclaimed supernatural series “Preacher” for an expanded 13-episode second season, slated for 2017. Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, “Preacher” is a supernatural and darkly comedic drama that follows a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer who is inhabited by a mysterious entity called Genesis that gives him the power to make people do whatever he commands. Once this power attracts the attention of two mysterious angels, Fiore and DeBlanc, Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

For over 70 years, the iconic flag-raising photograph at Iwo Jima has been one of the most reproduced images in history, inspiring books, movies and the Marine Corps War Memorial in Washington, DC. In a new one-hour Smithsonian Channel special, the United States Marine Corps will confirm the identity of a previously unknown flag raiser on Iwo Jima. Forensic evidence provided by Smithsonian Channel and production company Lucky 8 TV reveals that unsung hero U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. and Purple Heart recipient Harold Schultz was one of the flag raisers in Joe Rosenthal’s famed Iwo Jima photo taken on February 23, 1945.
