Comedian and actor Dane Cook has been cast as Robbie in the upcoming television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s AMERICAN GODS. Robbie (Cook), Shadow’s (Ricky Whittle) best friend and employer, promises to hold Shadow’s job for him while he’s in prison. Robbie is married to Audrey (Betty Gilpin), Shadow’s wife Laura’s (Emily Browning) best friend, and he provides another shoulder for Laura to cry on while Shadow is away.

The UNTITLED FOX MARVEL PROJECT will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Casting News: Rob Lowe Joins Cast of CBS’ CODE BLACK
Rob Lowe has joined the cast of the medical drama CODE BLACK as a series regular. His character will be introduced in the series’ second season premiere, Wednesday, Sept. 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Lowe will play Colonel Ethan Willis, a doctor in the U.S. Military’s prestigious Combat Casualty Care research program who has been pulled out of a combat hospital in Afghanistan and embedded at Angels Memorial to teach what the military has learned about combat medicine.

TV News: FX Sets Fall Premiere Dates for ATLANTA, BETTER THINGS, and Season 6 of AMERICAN HORROR STORY
FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year’s most anticipated new comedy series, Atlanta and Better Things, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning American Horror Story for its sixth installment, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. AMC announced that it has renewed its cinematic and critically acclaimed supernatural series “Preacher” for an expanded 13-episode second season, slated for 2017.
