Comedian and actor Dane Cook has been cast as Robbie in the upcoming television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s AMERICAN GODS. Robbie (Cook), Shadow’s (Ricky Whittle) best friend and employer, promises to hold Shadow’s job for him while he’s in prison. Robbie is married to Audrey (Betty Gilpin), Shadow’s wife Laura’s (Emily Browning) best friend, and he provides another shoulder for Laura to cry on while Shadow is away.

If you aren’t watching Ballers, you should start. HBO hosted a special advance screening of the first two episodes of Ballers’ second season at Xfinity Live! on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Along with the myriad of fans were stars Donovan Carter, who plays football player Vernon Littlefield, and Troy Garity, who plays sports agent Jason Antolotti, on the show. Bernard Hopkins, former middleweight and light heavyweight world boxing champion and Philadelphia native also made an appearance.

Amazon announced it has greenlit two additional seasons of the critically-acclaimed series, Catastrophe. Written by and starring Rob Delaney (Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage.) and Sharon Horgan (Pulling), Catastrophe, produced by Avalon Television, with co-producers Birdbath Productions and Merman, is a comedy following an Irish woman and an American man who, after making a bloody mess as they struggled to fall in love in London, have embarked on a series of best-attempts to clear it up and generally do the right thing. The highly anticipated third season of Catastrophe is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the US in 2017, and the fourth season is expected to premiere in 2018.

Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.

USA Network has extended its commitment to America’s favorite family, with a 12-episode Season 5 pick-up of the original hit reality series CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST. The network is also adding six additional episodes to Season 4 – bringing the fourth season order total to 26 episodes.

Rob Lowe has joined the cast of the medical drama CODE BLACK as a series regular. His character will be introduced in the series’ second season premiere, Wednesday, Sept. 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Lowe will play Colonel Ethan Willis, a doctor in the U.S. Military’s prestigious Combat Casualty Care research program who has been pulled out of a combat hospital in Afghanistan and embedded at Angels Memorial to teach what the military has learned about combat medicine.

FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year’s most anticipated new comedy series, Atlanta and Better Things, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning American Horror Story for its sixth installment, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Atlanta, a half-hour comedy series created by and starring Donald Glover, will premiere on FX on September 6, followed two days later by Better Things, a half-hour comedy series co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. and starring Adlon. Then on September 14, the as-yet-untitled sixth installment of the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning limited series American Horror Story returns from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Drummer Stewart Copeland of The Police is on a mission to soak up all the sun, fun and adventure the island paradise of Bali has to offer in Travel Channel’s “Island Fever,” premiering on Saturday, July 9 at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT. “You discover the rhythm of a place through the eyes of the locals,” said Copeland. AMC announced that it has renewed its cinematic and critically acclaimed supernatural series “Preacher” for an expanded 13-episode second season, slated for 2017. Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, “Preacher” is a supernatural and darkly comedic drama that follows a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer who is inhabited by a mysterious entity called Genesis that gives him the power to make people do whatever he commands. Once this power attracts the attention of two mysterious angels, Fiore and DeBlanc, Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
