Ten years later, the events of September 11, 2001, still resonate — especially for the people who were in critical leadership positions on that fateful day. Hear intimate accounts from New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the chiefs of the NYPD and FDNY, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Vice President Dick Cheney and many others who found themselves at the center of the action. Unprecedented decisions. Unimaginable tragedy. This is the definitive story, from 6 am to midnight, of a day that changed the world.

Judy Manning

Dream chaser extraordinaire! Judy tends to be a tad sarcastic and kind of goofy! She is an avid admirer of all things supernatural, paranormal, celestial and mystical. She loves to read, write, and watches way too much TV. She enjoys many genres of film and music (and let's be honest, most music from the 80s). She also has a wicked sweet tooth. Cupcakes beware.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for posting this absolutely stellar life-changing video. After promoting it for days on my Facebook page, (because my friend, Dave Hirschberg was involved in the movie), I was, very unfortunately, UNABLE to get it through my Cablevision subscription. Disconcerted, life went on. Now that I see that your wonderful Smithsonian web site actually is presenting the entire movie, I am now able to proceed through life knowing there are decent human beings on this planet that actually care for other humans. I don’t know if a vat of over-salted and greasy popcorn, along with an 82-ounce, ridiculously unhealthy keg of Coca-cola rip-off are appropriate for this viewing. So, I’ll just stick to my box of aloe-touched Kleenex and cold tap water. Thank you for making this movie available to all of us that were unable to watch it last night.
    Your ever-so-sincerely,
    MellowDee

    1. MellowDee – we are very pleased to be able to share this with our fans. We are all touched by the events of 9/11 either directly or by what changed in the world in the aftermath. YEC is very thrilled Smithsonian allowed us to post the full documentaries. We hope you’ll spread the word to those who may not have Smithsonian Channel through their cable providers and let them know we will have this online until Oct 3rd for viewing. Share the tissues 🙂
