THE FIRST EVER TRAVEL CHANNEL STAR

CHEVY CHASE, MD (September 8, 2015) – One New York City nanny’s dreams have come true. Janel Koloski is giving up her days scheduling playdates for a dream job hosting her own five-part web series on TravelChannel.com. On last night’s finale, Koloski was crowned the first “Travel Channel Star” winner and will showcase her love of people and unique travel lens. Koloski’s first stop for the web series is Santa Fe, N.M., where she’ll explore the city’s history, art and unique culture.

Koloski auditioned at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, N.Y., and was one of 15 quarter-finalists before the judges and public advanced her to the next round, where she found herself among the top five semi-finalists. She fearlessly played with insects and munched on a mealworm at Philadelphia’s Insectarium, which helped single her out as one of the final two contestants. Then, Koloski conquered her fear of heights at the Alley Pond Park Adventure Course and rose to the top, winning the “Travel Channel Star” competition.
