VIDEO: Interview with Arrow’s David Ramsey at Minneapolis Wizard World 2016

Arrow S2 Key Art (featured)Wizard World is a traveling comic book convention that gives fans the opportunity to meet graphic artists and authors, as well as actors and actresses from shows like Grimm, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.

During the convention’s stop in Minneapolis from Friday, May 6, 2016 – Sunday, May 8, 2016, I talked to David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle on The CW’s hit series Arrow. As I waited to interview him, I watched as a tiny hooded Green Arrow slowly approached Ramsey’s booth, trying to process the fact that Diggle, the Arrow’s trusty sidekick, was sitting there. Ramsey’s eyes lit up as the mini superhero cautiously approached. He eagerly came around the table to give his little partner a double high five, which, unfortunately, accidentally knocked the diminutive Green Arrow on his rear. That threw off his hood revealing he was, in fact, a she. Despite the awkward introduction, the little girl couldn’t believe she got to meet Diggle.

While I can only imagine what it was like for the young fan, what really got to me was how long the smile remained on Ramsey’s face after meeting the little girl. Talking to Ramsey, I realized how much appreciation he has for the fans of all sizes who have helped make Arrow successful.

I provide testosterone to the site. You won’t be reading about how nice a actress looks in a dress or how much of a hunk Matt Bomer is in my reviews. I describe colors using words like brown, not taupe. My twitter name is @staffaroadtrip because I love road trips and have done two different 48-state road trips since 2008. My favorite show is White Collar.
